Some valid points made by all parties involved. I love this schit. Imagine how bored we'd all be today if these feathers weren't ruffled and nothing was sparked up!

We still got months to kill, I'm here for the drama and the trades

The NBA totally should have had a free for all on trades during the down time. Would have been great.

I am all for the friendly banter. Its what this league was built on. However, I will defend myself when someone starts coming at my character though with calling me a bozo.

This idea that I knew all the inner workings of a previous trade made on at a different time then a waiver claim and was trying to undermine the move by suggesting someone else should pick him up is ludicrous to me. Maybe because I would never even think of offering someone an asset to waive a player I might not even get in FA. So I was oblivious to that fact. And once Wack confirmed why he did it I said the waiver made more sense to me now.

And might I point out if there was an agreed to deal due to the waiver then why all the push back to me. Wack wouldn't be able to accept a waiver/claim trade because he agree to waive him outright. So again if the deal was agreed to and you trust Wack (which I see no reason not to) he seems like a stand up guy. Why are you concerned about this deal at the time I suggested when I had no idea a agreement was made in the background?

I actually respect and appreciate the direction you went. I was in a similar scenario with AD on my roster...I was the 5th seed I believe and really felt stuck and switched it up. So I respect and see your direction 100%.

I think you have a little more of a challenge seeing you don't own your pick next year but you have accumulated some nice picks in 2022 that should pay off for you.

Don't take it personal bro. At the end of the day you and Smash will be good. He let off some steam and you are defending yourself and your analysis. Nothing deeper than that.

Smash is taking a risk but it'll likely pan out cuz he has a dope free agency rating and a nice stash of cash.

And as for you, I don't think there was any malice intended or an agenda to influence any backing out of an agreement. You are our resident studio analyst when not GMing. No bad intentions.

Everyone will be good. It's chippy but within the lines, and it's remaining fun.

If that is your believe of "trashing" a GM, then we have different definitions of "trashing" a GM because what I said above is not trashing him at all.

Why do I have to send him a PM though, wack came here this morning said he waived draymond because he got compensation to do it. Then I said it made sense.

I think your issue was with me last night, where I suggested an offer that was undermining your trade with Wack. 2 things to that point. I have repeated 100 times I had no idea the trade and waiver were related. I thought Draymond was honestly a FA so I figured I could comment on where he could go.

Melo even suggested Hoffa should pick him up last night. So I wasn't the only one that didn't know what was going on.

The the final point if you had a agreed to deal with Wack why do you care what we are saying he if you trust wacks character to not back out of his part of the deal then this is all mute.

Hey man what can I say when you are rebuilding I need to stay involved somehow.

I am a big supporter of this discussion thread I would love all 30 GM's in here and active. I know that probably can't be the case because everyone has different interest levels in the game. But I try to do my part in terms of activity.

Context does his part with making a billion trades...I do my part by analyzing them all

Smash is low-key a trendsetter. His logic underscores how a player can be a complete albatross at one # but a valued commodity sparking an anticipated bidding war at another #.

You are free to be as offended as you want to be, I was just making the distinction, because you're usually a smart guy and can usually put two and two together...

You ask me to believe that you didn't know about the deal, but you doubt me when I say the issue is not about you undermining my trade?

Image

At the end of the day I felt like you were trying to ride the coattails of my trade by making it all about you; you basically tried to handicap Houston so they won't tank next year, and not be in the running for other FA's next year. You know Dray isn't the key for the young core Houston has. Combine that with you trashing the other GM, this is the exchange you get.
