Would have been a nice prospect for the Bucks to replace the Lopez brothers with in a year or two. Not sure how he lasted until the second round, the hype was there.

Blows me away he fell that far, especially because why the F not take a chance on him given his potential? Would've loved if we bought a 2nd and took a swing on him. That being said, I'm still not sold though, I need a few more games at full speed.

Re: NBA Re-Open Thread
I think the reason Bol slid was that his body is the outlier of outliers. He has already had legitimate foot injuries, and I can't imagine a doctor can look at the structure of his feet, back, knees, etc and feel good that a body like that will hold up. Having said that, once the kid is out of the lottery I'd have no problem whatsoever taking him and just being thankful for what you get. 7'2 with a 7'9 arm span is worth rostering. And his dad had a long career with the same body type.
I hope people get a chance to read that article I linked above, what a beautiful thing, basketball does, by exposing us to very different cultures and extraordinary people.

Also wanted to add, Denver has one of the quirkiest and fun rosters the league has seen in a long time. You got Jokic, who (prior to this latest slim down) was carving up the west night in and night out with a dad bod. And by dad bod I mean Domantas Sabonis' dad's bod. Milsap is a B+ NBA player, with an old school vibe and some modern era skills. Murray, Barton, and Harris are fun guards. Michael Porter Jr could be an injury prone tease, but he has major "Jermaine Oneal potential" as a guy that breaks out as a difference maker after a redshirt season where you kind of forgot about him. And then you add Bol Bol... I mean, there are just a lot of goofy tall guys on this roster than can really play.

Like how the Nuggets have built their team over the years, but I've officially soured on Jamal Murray and unless a guy like Porter can take the big superstar scorer leap, I think they're destined to be a poor man's version of the Nash/Amare Suns. Constantly in the mix as a perennial 50+ win team, but never good enough to be real championship favorites.

Defenses sag on both of them and they both need spacing to be effective. Bud would have to make sure Bled still got his full amount of minutes and would have to work to convince him that it wasn't a demotion and that might not be good for morale.
This is what I've been pondering for a while myself. I bet if Hill started over Bledsoe in the raptors series last year, we go all the way
Even if he didn't start, just playing him in OT in game 3 instead of Bledsoe could have been the difference. Bledsoe clearly was not going to rise to the occasion, whereas Hill was hands-down the 2nd-best player on the team in that series (no surprise considering his experience in a playoff environment).
That said, I've been trying to think of reasons Bud doesn't make the obvious move to stagger Bledsoe and Giannis more, and it occurred to me that Bledsoe's defense against the opponent's best starting guard might be good enough to justify it.
Yeah that is about the only thing that makes sense as to why Bud keeps Bled and Giannis in together, I think it would vary game to game on how well Hill (or possibly Donte) could defend the opponent's starting PG.

I can’t disagree.
I said fun roster, not championship roster.
Also, feels like they have the pieces to make a killer trade, if they wanted to.
I was never high on Porter Jr, but one can’t deny if the back straightens out and he matures with a season or two in the pros... he could be a matchup nightmare.

We're beating them in the Finals this year so I agree they're not championship material.

My wife actually commented today that I seemed to be in a great mood. I told her it's because the god damn Bucks are BACK! She rolled her eyes and said have fun. Life is good.

Not sure there’s a player in the league that’s more annoying and gets away with more illegal screens/grabs than Dwight Howard. Essentially everything he does off-ball is illegal.

Re: NBA Re-Open Thread
So is Giannis out for Saturday? Surprised they would play Giannis the first game and then rest him the others.
