Gus can still be an elite HW, Werdum is so freaking high level.

On the ground, yes. But at best i see Werdum as 8-10th best HW - with the ability to maybe beat a higher rank but also lose to a lower ranked. Gus got caught, he might win this fight on another day. I see Gus beating more of the top HW compared to Werdum - simply by matching up better stylistically.

If these washed up legends can't say stop, i like they match them up against each other instead of feeding them to young up-and-comers who can make a name of them.

Think Whittaker wins, hoping for Till. Also trying to tell myself it doesn't mean that much. Don't know why, but i get so freaking nervous and my heart starts pounding so i barely can control my own body before every big fight, even if i don't have a favorite in the fight.

1–1... really bad first round from rob but easily won the second. He throws some wild punches though that leaves himself really open

It's to easy for Rob read Till whenever Till is the one initiating the attack. Always these hop-steps, or whatever it's called - a jab and a left straight.

Close 4th, Rob rocked it seemed. Could be 3-1 Rob or 2-2.

Till could have won that round. He landed some big strikes. Possibly 2-2 or 3-1 Whittaker

Till did fairly well but needed to be a lot more aggressive. Whitaker is just so powerful and skilled.

Fair play. Would prob score it 3-2 Rob as the judges did. Could see it both 4-1 or 3-2 Till also - with 4 and 5 being close rounds.

Till gotta learn to mix it up. He still relies heavily on his jab, straight combination - and that's really his only entrance. Great defense though. Decent fight.

Yeah 4th and 5th were toss ups. I thought till was gonna win the 5th until the last 30 seconds then thought it could of gone either way.

Looking at the total strikes in the second it could have even been a 10-8.

In the end the scorecard was right

Robs been asked about the title a few times lately and he’s pretty blasé about it. Never said yeah I want it back. Most he said was he’d like to fight Izzy again just because he lost

Fat Gus isn't happening dude. It's weird that he thought it mattered that he "beat Werdum in sparring". Maybe standup only, MMA is a different beast.

Fat Gus seemed like a last ditch effort from Gus to try and restart his career. Its not like he put on 20-30 pounds of mostly good muscle, it seemed like he spent all his time at the buffet then ran out of money so decided to fight at HW.

A loss to Werdum at this time is pretty damning. Werdum is still without a doubt world-class on the ground, but he is so out of shape and so slow now. The fact that it got to the ground for Gus is eye opening. Gus should've been able to just tee off on him. Gus seems to have checked out of the sport after the win over Glover a few years ago.

Hope the money was worth that embarrassment for Gus...

Werdum looked better today. Could be back on the juice but when I saw him, I knew he was going to win. Lean and way less flab.

He looked like **** for his last fight.
