"everything happens for a reason."

This is Descartes and the Enlightenment.

Where is the role of chance??? Does randomness exist? What role does quantum theory have to play here?

I am as big a Frank fan as anyone but...this kid needs to start showing more than defense...on an NBA court. I really am rooting for this kid to put it all together as a Knick. I am just getting tired of waiting.

Good point. I have been re-reading Hegel’s Jena Lectures recently. Some fascinating stuff, really helps you understand Frank’s mindset going into year 4

I'm in the same boat as you.

But I tell myself that he's still only 22, and in his years here, it's been **** coaching and no accountability or leadership on the court for a full year.

I agree it has been a terribly run shyt show since he has been here. I'm not giving up on him. I think he can be a good role player on a winning team. I just hope the franchise doesn't give up in him too soon.

Thibs loves defense so...that is a big plus for Frank.

That's the thing. I'm not like some people here, and need Frank to score 20ppg to be considered worth keeping around.

Teams need Robersons, Tony Allens, Bruce Bowens, Shane battiers, etc, to be successful. But those guys were dropping 20 ppg

But if thibs can't get it out of him, no one can. Except maybe pop

He shot 14/27 (52% from corner 3's this year). He was in the 95% in the league. With 86% from the FT line so there are good signs. I assume with more talent on the roster he will be more effective.

Frank's jumper is purely mental. His form is usually good except for one hitch. He's doesn't always follow through to full extension with his stroke. It is like he's hedging just a little bit on his release. That's a mental hang-up, a lack of confidence. His natural form is excellent so I hope he slaps his inner child and starts bombing away without conscience. He does that and he's going to have one of the highest three % on the team and well above league average.

22 is young but it’s not THAT young for nba player. This would possibly be a seasoned college player or a seasoned international pro. Frank needs to show significant tangible improvements this season.

Maybe it could be safer to stay in France for next weeks ...
Frank Ntilikina is a play-off player, but he goes to the Hornets.

Paris 2024 (Starters):
Ntilikina - Malédon - Hayes
Coulibaly - De Colo
TLC - Rupert or Risacher
Wembanyama- Yabusele
Embiid- Poirier - Lessort [without Embiid: Fall]

Actually ... the answer is yes! Matthew Strazel as NBA prospect. Him, Frank and Andrew Albicy: our 3 good defensive point guards are playing in this Amiral League (the 3 good offensive are Heurtel, Malédon and Hayes. You may add Elie Okobo to the discussion). As young NBA player Adam Mokaka also is playing. As good french player there is also Charles Kahudi, Yakuba Outattara, Lahou Konaté, Mathias Lessort etc...

what about Louis L ??? he was on the French FIBA team last year.

Louis Labeyrie wasn't in this tournament. Except from ASVEL, I guess there had not euroleague player.

Labeyrie is not a prospect, he is about 28 years old. IMO Labeyrie never had level for french team or NBA. He is a correct Euroleague player, no more. He was here for China's 2019 WC because Adrien Moerman was injuried, Lauvergne wanted to play 5 (so he wasn't here too) and Yabusele played in China.
During more than ten Years our two 4 were Diaw and Pietrus (Florent, Mike's brother), no one could take their seat, and Moerman was certainly better than Pietrus from 2013 to 2016, but Pietrus was an important player for the team. Unfortunately Moerman was not here in 2017 and 2019. In the world cup, Batum played a lot as 4. Labeyrie was 3rd option after Amath MBaye (a guy who did a full NCAA cursus, then went to Japan, and came back to Europe in an average Italian team, but showed he could be a good international player) and Batum.
For next year in Tokyo, maybe Vincent Collet will make a strong choice and select him! (remember 2016, he took an old injuried Gelabale instead of Fournier ..). But I would prefer Moerman, Yabusele (we almost forget him with his years in G-league and China)or even try a young player (Tillie, Pons, Hoard, Doumbouya ... let's see next the one who will had done a good pro year season).

In 2024 he will be 32, but with Yabusele, Pons, Hoard and Doumbouya if they play 4 instead of 3, Wembanyama, Tillie (and certainly others that I forget)... we are becoming to wealthy to select Louis Labeyrie ^^
