GT: Bucks vs Celtics July 31 6:30PM

Post#1 » by NinjaBro » Fri Jul 31, 2020 4:29 pm

We get our first look at our good buddies the Bucks and Celtics going at it today for the start of the new season. Our most likely opponents for us if we are going to make a deep playoff run. Celtics hasn't look so good in the scrimmages but they're getting Kemba back.

Bucks are getting Bledsoe and Connaughton back as well.

Not sure who I want to win this, hopefully they beat up each other. So glad to have the NBA back and games that finally matter. Who's in for the viewing party?

if you want to preserve our seeding, then Bucks need to win. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter.

Bucks size upfront should allow them to dominate the Celtics. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a blowout.

Easily want the Bucks to win. The sooner we clinch second, the sooner the minutes will be more spread out, the less chance of injury to our key guys.

Key guys being all of the top 7.

Kemba has had 3.5 months off. If his knee is still a "concern", its likely it will be an issue come playoff time.

Seeding is irrelevant now. Personally I think I'd rather face the Sabonis-less Pacers over the Magic (with Isaac fully back) in the first round, but both should be fodder. There is no home court advantage so getting the 2nd or 3rd seed doesn't matter in the second round.

I can never cheer for Boston though.. even if I hate the Bucks lol.

ya seems like it's a chronic issue...that'll definitely be a problem is Celtics plan to go deep into the playoffs

Even if we didn't want to preserve our seeding, I always cheer against Boston teams.

would u guys rather
1) upset the bucks in the second round, then lose to 76ers
2) upset the bucks in the second round, then lose to celtics
3) beat 76ers/celtics in the 2nd round but lose to the bucks in ECF

bonus questions, lets say we reach the finals would you rather beat
4) lebron
5) kawhi

would u rather lose to
6) lebronto

I'd like to keep Miami/Philly in the 4/5 so one of them can take out Milwaukee in the 2nd round.

So I'd like Boston to win. Also the media will jump on that bandwagon then we beat them in the 2nd round.

I hate the Celtics so I want them to lose, but I also think it's better for us to keep the 2 seed so we don't have to see the Bucks until the third round. So lets go Bucks for the night.

Miami's only 2.5 games behind Boston, they may still have a chance to catch 3rd dropping the Celts to 4th. Would you rather face the Heat in the 2nd round or the Celtics.

I'm kinda torn on this one. I feel the Celts are a little more dangerous second round opponent if they get Kemba back. Heat will be tough also but they are a good matchup for the Bucks and can potentially upset them if they stay in the 4th seed.

Would be great for a Celtics/Sixers 1st round series and a Heat/Bucks 2nd round series. The playoffs are going to be soooooooo fire.

Tatum has been Ice cold since the restart. Hope he keeps this up all the way to the second round. At this rate we won't even need to keep OG on him.
