Good to get a win when we didn’t play all that well and we’re missing Bled and Pat. Did I miss news about Marvin?

In 7 games I think we win in 5-6 vs BOS. It’s the same team we’ve played all year. Kemba and Tatum are good (but both had limitations last night, Kemba was minutes, Tatum couldn’t hit anything), Hayward sucks, Jaylen is decent, Smart is dirty and will cause someone to get hurt.

We were missing a starter, shot like ass, Hill played horrible, Brown played meaningful minutes, and Midds was largely average until the end. Was a good gritty win to start and I believe puts us 1 win out of clinching overall #1 which doesn’t matter as much.

Boston fans/players of all sports are all the same. Whiny, entitled, pathetic.

One of my best friends is from Boston and vented to me a couple years ago about how Boston’s sports teams were in a serious rut because they hadn’t won a title in like 2 years and he wasn’t being ironic at all. The only Boston sports fan I’ve ever met that wasn’t unbearable is my uncle who moved to Boston like a decade ago and adopted their teams but knows how good they have it there.

I had more fun than anticipated, first time being able to legally bet on sports helped. Smart is still a pos but I'm sure that's been echoed throughout this thread already. Sterling Brown needs to get off the court as well.

It's 58%. Yes it's bad.

Started 0 for 3. Went 7/9 the rest of the way and 2/2 in the 4th.

Adding DDV + Pat to the bench pushes Sterling back to garbage time minutes. Hopefully Bledsoe can go a few minutes against Houston.

He's just better in a reduced role, specifically not as a handler unless driving an open lane to the basket.

Agreed though, would be nice to find a young guy with more skills and a brain to replace his minutes.

For sure agree with that. Wonder if it's partly on Bud for putting him in lineups hes forced to create.

We already know he is ok/good in a limited 3+d role. It is smart to check if he can do something more in these not so meaningful games. Sterling will probably ask for some significant contract in free agency. Trying him out gives the confidence to our front office to make the right decision.

I love when Bledsoe guards Harden. I hope we see that some next game.

Gotta blame someone when Giannis outclasses your whole team on an average night. Self-reflection is too messy.

Hill in particular was incredibly frustrated with the refs in the last few minutes, but I didn't see what it was about because it was apparently away from the action. He was talking to Smart for a while at the end and it looked respectful in a superficial way but I think he was telling him off without making it obvious.

Let Sterling knock him the eff out to earn his salary if they meet again.

Pretty sure it was the elbow to Donte’s face (shown in the video Twirl posted on page 3). Think I read Hill’s lips telling the ref that wasn’t a basketball play.

Just watched the end again and it could be that. There was also a blatant lane violation by Smart on the FT of Jaylen Brown's 3-point play. Just a general pattern of letting a little guy who plays hard get away with stuff at the end. Not saying the officiating was biased since they missed some violations both ways, but not seeing the lane violation or the elbow on DDV is hard to believe.

Celtics do this **** every time and I bet it comes from the top, Coach Pete probably tells them to publicly whine because it will buy them more calls next time out.

^ should be a common foul on Giannis and a flagrant on Smart.

How any team with Marcus Smart can ever complain about referees is amazing. How the Celtics fanbase, who enjoyed getting every call in the 80s in Stern's big-market-stars-making-the-money NBA, can ever complain about referees is amazing on top of amazing. If we're going to get into an argument complaining about refs, let's take a look at any Bucks-Celtics playoff series in the 80s and put those arguments to rest.

The game is meaningless for the Bucks so I hope we play him straight up and let him go off. Bud should save any tricks he has up his sleeve for a potential playoff series.
