How did you even come to this comparison, their games aren’t anything alike. Pippen might have had the best hands of anyone who played the game.

Not close to Pippen, but Siakam may be a skosh better than Jayson Tatum right now. However, Tatum is four years younger. Both should be All-Stars for years to come.

Maybe as scorers, overall offensively though they’re different. Pippen was a great passer and topped around a 7 offensive win share in his prime, Pascal isn’t near that yet.

Not sure why Tatum is being brought up but his RPM, PER, WS, Box, VORP, basically every advanced stat is currently better than Siakam so I’m not sure I would say he is currently better.

I mean, no he's not. But the comparison looks worse because Siakam only recently elevated his game to its current level, while Pippen benefits from a career's worth of hindsight. If Siakam played like this for another 10 years then it wouldn't be laughable. Still, I'd take Pippen in that scenario short of any significant improvement from Pascal.

The similarities are there. If Siakam continues to improve his consistency with his shot, I don't see how you can't compare the two.

Literally nobody in this thread has said yes, this must be a troll thread.

However it could spark an interesting discussion. How would the 90's bulls do if you took out Pippen and inserted current day Siakam on the team? Would they still be good enough to win all the chips?

I brought up Tatum because he's a good comparable to Siakam but like I said Tatum has the advantage in being four years younger. Tatum should have the better career if he remains healthy. However, the Raptors are clearly superior to the Celtics. Look at win share for Siakam over Tatum and that tells the story.
