I agree, someone has to protect the rim. There are so many easy lay ups when defensive teams play without interior size.
I can see Wiseman as a better version of Ayton.

Kerr was on the Bill Simmons podcast which was released today.

Says he's studied all there is for the draft. But needs or hopes to be able to do in-person interviews and workouts.

I just wonder what Wiseman can say to make this team not hesitate when he is on the board

Weird...worse record in the league but at 47% chance they'll get the 5th pick...Who would they pick at the 5 spot?
IMO Ball, Edwards, Wiseman are all gone by 3....that leave Obi, Deni, Haliburton.

The good news is that Ball and Edwards aren't the right fit for the Warriors. Wiseman might be but he could slip to 4 or 5. So EVEN if the Warriors fall to 4 or 5 in order, Warriors still get one of either Obi, Deni or Haliburton. This is one of those years when it might be BETTER to fall to 4 or 5....you get the player you want and pay them less.

I think the Warriors are eyeing Dini or Haliburton. Both really high IQ multi-talented players....allow them to plug into the system. And both shoot the ball really well.

On cue, Ayton goes for 23 and 10 with 4 blocks and 2 steals

He's hitting 3's now as well, and Phoenix look good. Imagine Ayton on the Warriors right now, and that's what I see with Wiseman.

Seems that his athletic tools are rare for a 7 footer. He is very fast and agile and the height of the basket seems very low for him.
I think that he transforms his game this offseason in order to play point forward. I am starting to believe that he has superstar potential.

The issue is he still looks slim AF. Maybe NBA conditioning would help bu the is going to be pushed around alot in the league

For his age, his size looks perfect. He's 240+ which is fine. He's going to be moving way more than posting up in isolation. And his length will help him against guys trying to post him up.

I see nothing but upside.

Not sure his weight but once drafted he can easily gain weight & strength. Don’t want him too heavy anyways. 240-250 seems fine for his type.

He will be active and not under the hoop a lot. Not too many physically imposing post players now anyways.

when I see Wiseman I don't think of a traditional back to the basket player nor would I want one on the Warriors. He has more of an AD body type and I think that is a huge benefit when it comes to playing a switching style defense. If he can block some shots, start fast breaks, run the floor and vertically stretch the court for Steph and Klay in his first season I would be thrilled. If he can add a face the basket game and a consistent jumper in his early career the guy will be a stud.

All rookies are slept on unless they get the media hype machine behind them. The question is always what their 3rd year is going to be like.

He is going to need to develop a back to the basket game too just as AD did. I like the David Robinson comp. A strong facing and movement based game but the ability to be physical and stubborn when needed.

Just saw a highlight of Nurkic posterizing him and knocking him flat on his ass.

He looks very much inline with Dwight Howard, when the Magistrate drafted him.
