THIS is what is wrong with America and yes I know this is way off topic. Disagreements should not equal enemy. This polarization from both sides is disgusting.

Stop with the drama.

Disagreement? They are actively supporting a terrorist organization. The proper thing for the NBA to do would be to leave politics out of sports and "stop with the drama"... but they took the bribe and are now seeing that the consequences weren't worth it.

Sorry if this is un-modlike of me... but what the **** are you talking about?

Anyway, let's leave politics out of this thread since it's about Isaac's injury (including me). I just have to question supreme ignorance like that because then things become dangerous rhetoric.

Was watching some young David Robinson highlights today and could've sworn I was watching Isaac. I'd forgotten how dextrous The Admiral had been, especially in an era where bigs were big bruisers.

His prediction is that Orlando will decide not to extend Isaac due to injury concerns. Isaac will then sign a large yet modest FA contract (3 year / $60M) with the Knicks and completely revitalize that franchise becoming a 20+ ppg scorer and a multi-year DPOY while attracting at least one SUPER STAR to join him.

I can’t this this out of my head now.

Isaac scored 20 ( career high 25 points) grand total of 5 times in 141 games he played in NBA.
His offensive development was noticable, but never anywhere near star level. He wasn't even dominant scorer in college. He is like more advanced on defense Draymoond Green, without any passing gift. Or like KG without offensive talent. Regardless of his value on defense, teams with him as best or secend best player are always bound to go nowhere. That's why nobody in right mind builds team around Gobert without having offensive star power around him.

Magic will resign him, just simply not break a bank for a player that misses 50% of games he could play.
JJ Redick scored 20 points 3 times before he was 26 with Clifford as one of his coaches. He just doesn't trust young players.

JJ played on contender, was never viewed as starter yet always got sollid +20 mpg for 5 years.
Between 2010-11 to 2012-13 ( three seasons) he scored 20 or more points more than 30 times.

It's not matter of trust but matter of ability, or inability to play exstended min and contribute at elite level.
JJ wasn't good offenisve player until his 4th season. Once he become good offensive option,he started scoring much more and was trusted into bigger role.

He was always good spot up shooter, but when you are on contender, being spot up shooter only simply won't get you lot of PT, if it does, Meeks would be on Warriors last 5 years.

Pretty common with ACLs honestly. What probably happened was that 2nd MRI showed the MCL tear once swelling went down a little.

Ah.. i remember when I was 18 I had a meniscus tear and the doc said 1 more milimeter of tear and it could have been a ACL injury. I always thought meniscus tear is just a tiny step.below acl.

Good to know our.boy is getting taken care of properly and by the best.

Just out of curiosity, any other famous athletes he worked on and their results? Like Lavine and his acl injury... he still is a high flyer after it although I forgot how long he was sidelined.

i believe he performed the procedure on Jabari parker his 2nd acl tear and a sprinter that went on to win a gold medal in the olympics iirc.....

as for Lavine? (tore his acl in 2017)

Isaac's game isn't really based off explosive athleticism but there will definitely be adjustments when he gets back, he has to learn how to jump and land

A somewhat laymen term video about how both Acl and Meniscus can be done in one surgery

From what i understand(don't take my word as gospel) The fact that JI was able to get both ACL and meniscus done at the same time is the best case scenario since he can start the rehab process in a timely fashion. If the meniscus was more severely damaged he would've had to get the meniscus surgery done first wait for that to heal and then get the ACL surgery. So from a time standpoint he's in good shape, recovery time is probably 10-12 months but people heal at different rates so it's possible it could take more than 12 months but it's not unheard of athletes getting back in 8 or 9 months from an ACL tear.

Also hopefully the Magic can get isaac in touch with a biomechanics specialist if they haven't done so already....this is the guy that will analyze all the inefficient movements and will teach him the best way to move for his frame....how to jump/land for injury prevention

Jonathan Isaac underwent surgery today on his left knee to repair his ACL and a meniscus tear. The surgery was performed by Dr. Robert LaPrade.

The initial MRI within the bubble was done on a mobile MRI, so as The Athletic reported, the team wanted to get additional images outside the bubble to get a better look at the inside of the knee. But you're right, JWG, that the meniscus tear wasn't initially mentioned.
