But now it looks like if the Mavs beat the Blazers, they will have a ton of motivation to beat the Suns in their last game to get that 6th seed to play the Nuggets instead of the Clippers

One thing I noticed in the Mavs box score was that it listed Doncic out with an ankle injury, and KP out with an injury as well. If they have lingering injuries, I doubt they'd risk worsening them in hopes of better positioning over getting completely healthy. Though I don't know if it is just something really minor and just precautionary or what.

They are on a back to back. Vegas has Portland as a 1.5 point favorite atm which is interesting as that seems too low if Luka and KP sit but would expect it Mavs to be favored if both play. Maybe they play Luka without KP (bigger injury history)?

I think it's just a formality to put some sort of injury on the report whether or not it's true. Praying Luka and KP play and put the Blazers away.

Yeah they definitely have to list something and you've seen it alot where alot of players have a sore groin/ankle on b2bs. If we take care of business it puts more pressure on the blazers as we play first

You don't always need stars to win a game. A perfect example are the Nets who defeated Bucks with a healthy roster last week and beat Clippers the other day. Both Mavs & Nets have great shooters from the outside they can create havoc for the Blazers. 76ers on the other hand struggle in that category so it's a win for us.

Hopefully it's true.

That makes the most sense. At least against the Wiz, nothing is on the line.

If only the Jazz game gets done before our game there might have been a way for them to lock up 6 seed and give the Mavs less of a reason to bother beating us, but Dallas will indeed have a reason that game.

This will tell us how ready we really are for the playoffs.
If Portland loses today and we win, we could still get in with one more spurs and blazer loss.

We matchup better against the Lakers than the Blazers do.

Rubio/Booker will carve up their Rondo-less/Avery Bradley-less backcourt with their passing. Our shooters in the Bubble are better, too, especially with Carter/Payne/Cam Johnson.

Lebron and AD ain't scared of Nurkic or Ayton, but they might think more about finishing their shots with a motivated Ayton's length and mobility.

Lillard has hit some big shots, no doubt. But look at his series numbers. They're not great in the playoffs. He has had so many 8/26 games with low assists. He's a known quantity.

Booker? No one wants to face this kid in the 3rd and 4th quarters in the Bubble.

What happened to Okobo? Is he in Orlando? I don't even recall seeing him on the bench.
Unless he's hurt, all of this makes me think he's not in our plans going forward.

Oh for sure, he gone.

Pretty sure he needs to go on a Cam Payne-style adventure tour, if you know what I mean. Overseas could be a good option.

Rockets getting their asses handed to them right now. Westbrook is playing terribly as we expected in situations like this.

wish they played harden over westbrook. but westbrook sat last time. doesn't matter as we aren't making unless we win out so spurs are irrelevant

Spurs game is irrelevant to us though, right? We still need to win out to pass Memphis/Portland and that would take care of them no matter what they do.

The New Jersey Nets or Brroklyn Nets are currently 5-2 in the bubble and are ready to feast on the Blazers..
