What a weird timing. I mean it seems like the Bulls are in the bubble, they failed to compete and then AK fires him!!

I pity for Adrian Griffin if he is innocenct. He must be strongly considered as a new Bulls HC but the timing is very bad for him.

His wife accused him of domestic violence recent days though one of his child told that accusation is not true. We don't know what happaned to the family yet.

Safe to say our beat guys really don't have any insiders with the FO? Especially now that we got AK in.

Glad we're moving on.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

KC continues to show he really isn't very good at getting insider information for us fans. He was reporting Boylen was looking like he was staying. He's a solid reporter, but he doesn't break any real news for us diehard fans.

Yea this is about the 5th time woj or shams has made kc look clueless to bulls affairs and he supposed to be the insider. This not the worst though the worst was when kc reported deng wouldn't be traded and woj bombs a deng trade like a day later lol

Bubble playoff game are starting and we're owning the NBA headlines today!

Unfortunately for getting rid of our trash it appears.......

He must have clashed with AK. I mean he's like twice his age and way more experienced. Younger guys just didn;t advance like this when Boylen was coming up the ranks. Look how many years he served in annomonity.

but this is pretty tasty too-

It's just like Addison Russel situation 2 years ago.

I tend to think where there is smoke there is usually fire. it takes a lot for the victims of domestic abuse to speak out, esp in public. They gotta know you make these claims you better be able to prove it because this could cost Griffin a shot at a job he's been coveting for a couple of decades. She knows this is the time to get it out there so people notice it and talk about it - because if they hire some one else and griff gets passed over, no one pays attention to her story anymore.

Thought I saw it reported yesterday that he had been accused of domestic violence

In a message posted to Twitter, Audrey Griffin said Adrian Griffin had repeatedly abused her, including choking her, throwing her into a wall with enough force to leave a hole and dragging her across a lawn while she was pregnant.

"This morning, accusations were made against me on social media by my former wife that I vehemently deny," Adrian Griffin said in a statement released by the Raptors. "We are involved in a longstanding legal dispute over alimony and child support arrangements. I am disappointed to have to address false accusations in this way, and I apologize for any distraction this has potentially caused for our team at this important time."

The Raptors also issued a separate statement on the matter.

"When we saw these allegations this morning, we were dismayed -- Adrian is a valuable member of our team," the team said in the statement. "Our leadership immediately spoke with him, and he flatly denied the allegations in the posts. We will support the process as he and his former partner settle these matters."

Audrey Griffin had previously made similar allegations of abuse on social media. On Thursday, she wrote in part, "How can someone do ALL of this and get away with it. ... I will tell you how... just be in the NBA and win a game in the bubble. Cinderfella. That's how. Simple."

Look I don't care about the man's well being. He will be fine. He has a couple million, he can live out his days in Joliet at the Hollywood Casino and get in fights there all day like Tim Floyd for all I care. As long as his stupid novelty punch clock is gone. We can finally be a normal NBA ball club.

On a certain level, he probably had more emotional investment in the team, but a significantly worse basketball mind than Tim Floyd. Just ferociously unfit to be managing anything on a basketball court. I can finally watch that breakdown video on youtube of how brutally inept his coaching strategies are. I don't have to get enraged that he's here to stay. He's gone. HE IS GONE AND IT FEELS SO WARM AND WONDERFUL.

I AM SO HAPPY.

He was just like a Chernobyl nuclear leak keeping me away from the team and poisoning everthing; but he's gone...peace and love---he is gone.

I never have to think about Boylens or Boylans for the rest of my happy days.
All the problems aren’t solved just because Boylen is gone. Still a lot of moves need to be made with hiring the right coach and making the right roster changes.

Huh? I'm perfectly fine with it. I was letting the other guy know what KC Johnson does. And it's certainly not biting the hand that feeds him.

Maybe they were clued in but needed to get some clicks to stay relevant in a time when there was no Bulls basketball to write about.

It would be nice to see a hire of someone who has some experience, some success with developing young players. I get the issues we face in our society, I just hope this hire is based on the best coach we can get for the situation and not limited due to politics.

You're right; we should all collectively pump the breaks a bit, but practically speaking, no Gar and no Boiball has me feelin' real fine. Yes, we probably can do worse, as Boylen was after the already horrid Hoiberg; but at least we are in the clear to potentially make strides with a coach with bare-minimum passable basketball aptitude. It's much easier to upgrade at the head coaching position than to do worse. I mean even Air Bud (if he's still alive) would be a significant step up from Boylen and Hoiberg before that.

Image
I won't count out the possibility that the FO will be forced to hire a 1999 Hewlett Packard Pavilion to calculate in game coaching strategies and save money. But even that could be an upgrade.

So yes, we are Bulls fans---we should be prepared for near-Knicks-level ineptitude. That said, I'm just happy we have a chance at something better than wasting next season with humpty dumpty.

Calling him a mouth piece. He a reporter not a columnist. That is why you don't get "Bulls suck" articles from him. You get "Bulls lose 100-87".

We owned the headlines during Covid with the Last Dance. The Bulls are marketing this for sure and it is why it is announced now, when it will strategically have a higher impact, have more eyes on it. He are running a P mission and want eyes on them to say look we are changing.

This is a great day for Bulls fans.

Even if we dont know yet where it leads, to finally root out all of the old regime that gave us so much pain, is a blessing.

We finally have "hope" again. Something that was severely missing the last like 5 years.

Now its who we get to replace him and the direction the young guys take.

In my opinion, I think the pressure now shifts to Lauri and Wendell. Zach isnt under any pressure to produce or prove himself. This now because a true evaluation of what AKME thinks of the squad and their ultimate vision for the New Bulls.

Im just glad we can finally go into 20-21 all fresh and new and not complain about why Boylen is still on the sidelines.
