Add McCollum to the list of usual suspects. He is second fiddle to Lillard, but he is a stud.
Hasn't he always been on the list? (Btw, I thought he kinda looked like crap up until the final stretch of the game... But yeah, a guy that can shoot and iso like that certainly would help).
He looked like crap and I think his game will decline if you let him play the role that he has to play on our team.
The reason he was on the list was people envision him to play Jj’s role, he was playing really good then the premise was he’d be acquired via a tobi deal rather than a ben deal.
As a Blazer fan I'm willing to give CJ a pass on his subpar play in the bubble. I want to see CJ moved for roster balance purposes, and with the emergence if Gary Trent as a pretty reliable shooter and an already above average defender at 21 years old and Simons who's been up, but mostly down, and filled to the rim with talent I'd like to see CJ moved. But his CJ has a small back fracture that is likely very painful, and he's likely getting cortisone shots just to go out there.
I personally wouldn't trade CJ for Tobias. I think the 76ers need to add. I'd rather go with an AG+Ross deal from the Magic which would probably be on the table. It's also a lateral move for both teams but I think the fit is excellent in Philly and dubious in Portland.
