Hypothetical, but if Giannis comes to the Warriors, will Curry, Klay, and Draymond still be considered old?

Or will the entire league, especially REALGM be saying it’s unfair and crying like little babies?

I don't think a guy who shoots almost 40% from 3, can throw it down inside, run the court and finish consistently, rebounds decently, high BBIQ, scores with high efficiency, and can play small-ball 5 is going to be too low on their board. Also, I don't think his defense is that bad, it's not currently great, but I feel like he's being portrayed as the most awful defender ever and he's not that (similar to how people say Steph is a god-awful defender but he's not all that bad).

he just seems really "stiff-hipped" on D so his lateral movement is awful. I agree with your assessment though and would be very happy with grabbing him at 4 or 5.

I can hear babies crying in the distance just reading this.

#2 pick, not bad!! Only bad thing is Minny got #1, they could get a player that improves them and drops our pick next year. On the other hand, because Minny has KAT I think it's very unlikely they take Wiseman, so I think he'll be there for us. Please don't overthink this Myers and Lacob!

Drops our pick, or most likely makes sure it isn’t 1,2, or 3!

I agree they won’t take Wiseman. More likely they go Edwards.

If I’m his agent I tell him to tank every interview except with the Warriors.

Prolly Warriors best case scenario, team and player don't have pressure of #1 Pick in a Draft with no true elite talent. MIN #1 almost guarantees GSW get a #5-#12 pick next year in a much better draft class

Sort of hoping the Wolves do take Edwards, it removes the risk of us taking him, or choosing between he and Wiseman (although who knows, not convinced the Dubs will take Wiseman even if they don't trade the pick).

I can't believe that Warriors get to chose from any of the three....Wiseman, Ball, Edwards...depending on who the Wolves take. And either of the remaining two ... golden. There seems to be a drop off at 4 so Warriors getting 2nd rocks.

That drop off is the reason why I believe this draft pick should be very expensive, whether it's trading up or out, because even if there are some other players below the top 3 have probably the same high ceiling, it's no that obvious. Players like Patrick Williams, Poku, Deni, Cole Anthony, Nesmith, Tyrell Terry, Jahmi'us Ramsey, Precious are some of the guys I think have high ceilings

My gut feeling, GSW select, Wiseman, Ball or Hayes at 2 if they keeping the pick. Can't see them taking Edwards. They haven't even interviewed the Kid on Zoom.

Updated BIG BOARD..you guys are so so lucky..I usually charge NBA teams 6 figures for my top3

1. Wiseman
2. Okoro
3. Deni Avdija

I can’t give out 4 & 5 ..I currently have 3 NBA teams in a bidding war for the picks

1 Edwards - Highest upside and trade value. FO HAVE to be patient with his development and give him minutes (at least 25)
2 Wiseman - I swear to God if he is available if Edwards is picked and they skip over him
3 Deni - If we want a back up PG he has the highest ceiling to cover that role although he is more of a SF/PF
4 Saddiq Bey - High floor, IQ, Length and shooting and some playmaking
5 Desmond Bane - Very high Floor, Fits right into our system, shows effort, playmaking, IQ and extreme hardworker. [Weaknesses: Quickness, average-above average athleticism, Age? (he just turned 22 June for a senior), length (he's 6'5 with 6'4 ws)]

Some players on the cusp I wouldn't mind but heavily prefer the ones above:
Devin Vassell - How much of his shot will translate? About mid floor but has decent ceiling. Would he have the patience and Work ethic to realize it? FO will have to be very patient with him and give him more time and minutes compared to our previous failed picks. more suited to guard 1-3s, 4s if he adds any strength.

Tyrese Haliburton - Idk about him. Analysts, gs writers and blog boys love him alot. If the FO think his shot will translate then fine. Just don't pick him top 5 (7-10 maybe)

Patrick Williams - Similar to Vassel's analysis (lower floor) but he is the youngest person out of every one I've mentioned and he will require the most amount of time. Would he have the patience and Work ethic to realize his potential? Funny enough they (him and Vassel) played on the same team. He is more suited to guard 2-4 with some small ball 5. Could guard 1s if he becomes quicker somehow.

Aaron Nesmith - Probably need to study a lot more film. But his ability to self create is zero-minimal. If he is in our system and we feed him the ball in open areas he will be a force to reckon with. If we give him time and teach him he might develop above average defense and maybe start later when our core ages.

I still believe the Warriors board is close to this. Bane and Bey are probably not top 5 but 2 of Williams, Haliburton, Nesmith, Vassell and Bey are in there. Also I've said it before in another post but if the FO want what happened in the finals to repeat itself they will draft someone that cannot shoot and has to earn a consistent jumper. That's why I have high floor skilled players over guys like Okoro, Okongwu, Precious etc even if I think they like them as well.

They are especially Bob is watching the playoffs right now. Blazers did well and took a game off the lakers but have struggled since. Mainly because they have no one else scoring consistently and their bench is very very bad and putting the ball in the basket and they are undersized unironically even though they have Nurk, Whiteside and Wenyen. Raptors have 5+ players that can create for themselves and put up 20+ each, they swept the Nets, Mavs have some few defensive guys but what's surprising is the clippers are everyone favorites to win it all, yet the mavs with their 2nd best player out, with their best player on a bum ankle tied the series 2-2 because they have several skilled offensive players on their roster to make up for not an elite defense. Even if Clippers are missing patbev? and they have at least 4 people that can give you 20, the mavs just have more, and have a better coach lmao

I really don't care how good defensively you are, if you have very subpar offense or are undersized, I'm lower on you than a 3 point shooting only specialist with size and passing with 0 defense

Blazers have been drafting in the mid 20s so no recent young talent. Collins has looked good at times but may be too brittle for banging down low.

They are too dependent on two smaller guards to create off the dribble. Melo scores in bunches but he's a defensive liability.

Centers and PIs have been soft but that big Lakers lineup is physical and the refs allow them to play that way.

Curry did, but in the end it worked out better for him to fail at it. His career would have sucked in New York.

My updated top-10 (for the Warriors)..... obviously if they keep the pick, they only need to consider 1 and 2, but should they trade down, this is what I’m looking at.
1. Wiseman
2. Edwards
3. Ball (for trade value)
4. Avdija
5. Vassell
6. Okoro
7. Haliburton
8. Williams
9. Okongwu
10. Toppin (likely to trade)
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

My updated top 5 (not much has changed):

1. Wiseman - Just draft him if he's there.
2. Poku - Yes i know this isn't happening, but he's still 2nd on my board.
3. Okongwu - I love double O, safest pick in lotto. Not a perfect fit for dubs and I don't expect us to draft him.
4. Edwards - Massive upside. It's likely Edwards, Wiseman, or Embiid wearing a Warriors jersey next year.
5. uhhhh Okoro or Deni or Hali? I dunno but who cares
