George Hill: We Shouldn't Have Come to This Damn Place To Be Honest

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Aug 25, 2020 5:53 pm

In response to the shooting by police of an unarmed Black man named Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, George Hill talked about whether NBA players should have agreed to participate in the restart in Orlando.

"We can't do anything," said Hill. "First all, we shouldn't have come to this damn place to be honest.

"Coming here just took all the focal points off what the issues are. But we're here. It is what it is. We can't do anything from right here. But definitely when it's all settled, some things need to be done."

Many NBA players participated in protests in May and June following the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police.

"This world has to change," Hill continued. "Our police department has to change. Us as society has to change. Right now, we're not seeing any of that. Lives are being taken as we speak day in and day out. There's no consequence or accountability for it. That's what has to change."

No George Hill. You shouldn't have come to this damn place if you wanted to stay in MIL to make a difference but you chose the game & the money.

Racism is a distraction. That's the whole point. Use hate to stop black people from improving their lives. Life can't stop because of racism or no progress can be made in any other area of life. It has to be both.

More importantly, this isn't up to the players. This is a police problem and the largely white population that supports them. George Hill could easily have been Jacob Blake. Sterling Brown is Jacob Blake. We can't keep asking the victim to solve the problem.

Anyways, I'll wait for the trolls.

They could of voted in the primary for Bernie Sanders who would actually do something about this and the massive inequality.. but no now you have Biden an author of the crime bill who told his donors aKa his bosses nothing will fundamentally change and Trump a full blown racist..
