If I am the Clippers I want the 4 seed. Play OKC in round 1 and then LA in round 2. Forget having to wait to the WCF, Play them in Semifinals.

Lebron has shaped up to be a very strong defender on Kawhi. Kawhi without the quick step uses strength to get around players and Lebron has that covered. Stopped him 1v1 on a number of occasions.

This means PG doesnt have anyone who can specifically cover him meaning he is super important in these match ups. Same is said for AD

I think AD can guard him pretty well (pg) and not so much the otherway around unless AD does his midrange BS instead of going strong

Yeah they don't want Houston. The Lakers don't either. Would waste too much energy on them. Only way you want Houston is in the WCF.

Kawhis not really getting any attention lately

He averaged 33-10-5, 63.3% TS but more importantly shot 62% inside the arc (less noisy compared to three point shooting)

He was kind of a really good reliable offense whenever dallas were clawing back ir attacking, since they just could throw it back for the kawhi midrange game and he delivered

He doesnt run the offense like guys like luka, bron, or harden do but i do think hes quietly maintaining his position as the guy other than lebron that really has a super playoff mode

AD looks like hes hit an extra gear defensively but on offense he doesnt have one the same way lebron and kawhi do imo. 2015 he was kind of in a roll going into the playoffs anyway, and that game one box score is a bit misleading since he was pretty much a nonfactor till the fourth quarter

He killed portland (as a pelican) and was decent against the warriors, but its more, they run things through him more rather than he turns up (maybe aside from attacking more aggressively) rather than actually upping their role like bron and kawhi do

Otoh his defense i think has hit a different level, and Davis at Center>>>>>Davis at powerforward

(I think powerforward davis is a top 10 guy, center davis is a Lebron-Kawhi-Giannis tier guy)

Anthony Davis was better than Lebron against Portland as well and the stats prove it. Kawhi went against a much better team. Lebron and Davis went against a team below .500.

I mean thats arguable at best, Lebron was clearly better in 3 out of the 5 games, and was probably better game 5 although thats debatable

Kawhi is a monster but we should all know this from last season. He's probably the best scorer in the league now (arguable with Harden) and you can't stop him from getting to the spot he wants to. He's stronger than most centers and has unreal midrange game. His post game is also fantastic.

He's top 3 player in the league with James and Giannis until someone else proves me wrong.

Why would the record of the team matter and not the quality of defense in regards to their stats? Portland's defense is better than Dallas', and that's not taking into account arguably Dallas' best defender missed games.

It's weird how people never take into account that defense exist.

Kawhi being a minute leader is an interesting development. If that holds, this is a going to be an impressive playoff run.

Im pretty sure portlands defense is significantly worse than dallas's tho lol, though they matchup better against our squad than mavs do with the clippers

Kawhi has got to be your favorite player since Jordan, yea?
