Peterson is pitching like how I thought Matz would pitch. But Matz is a lil wuss

But he still has somethings to clean up. He has the wild Stints where he can’t throw a strike for 10 pitches straight

I used to love those great pitching matchups back then. Seaver vs. Gibson, Jenkins, Marichal, Carlton, Sutton, Gaylord Perry, etc.

RIP

I mentioned him in the post just above yours.

Seaver wasn’t the most well-liked guy. He was aloof to his teammates and got even crankier as he got older. Maybe his dementia had something to do with it.

I remember when the Mets celebrated its All-Time Line-Up. They had a TV special for it. They all the players selection sit side by side. Seaver was selected as the best all-time RHP. Straw was the RF. So either Gary Cohen or Howie Rose, the hosts, asked Straw how he thinks he would’ve done if he had a chance to hit against Seaver. Straw gave a respectful answer about being able to hit Tom and Tom responses “Not with those handcuffs on your wrists!”

Classless.

Syndergaard, Catcher, back end of the rotation help and a bullpen.

Mets gonna be really good in 2021.

Mets have their 2-6 hitters penciled in for the rest of the decade.

Is McNeil our Ben Zobrist or will we eventually keep him at 2B?

2B / Corner Outfield. McNeil isn't cut out for 3B.

I wouldn't put Dom in the Outfield, it would be negligence if he got hurt playing out there. So thats where McNeil can fill in most of the time.

JD Davis can be a stop gap at 3B / DH type of guy that you can 300 ABs vs LHP.

JD Davis is having a great year in the field at 3B. I'm more concerned about his hitting right now but I think he's our 3Bman going forward.

Dom has to stay at 1B. He's was a FRP of ours and he's clearly a better fielder than Alonso.

Maybe we trade Rosario for some pitching help unless we decide to turn him into a CF which I'm not crazy about. Giminez is our SS now. I love Luis Guillorme as our super-sub off the bench.

The Phillies scratched Zack Wheeler from his start this weekend after the $118 million pitcher hurt the nail of his right middle finger on Wednesday while putting on his pants.

“You can’t make this up,” manager Joe Girardi said.

Sandy Alderson did a great job, won't get the accolades but there's alot of home grown talent that came up through him.

Knicks needed someone like him, Donnie Walsh was supposed to be that guy but I feel like he did a B- job

Sandy with more than a few pennies to play with is gunna **** **** up lol. Got us to the World Series on a budget. Imagine if he could’ve properly complemented our rotation. This is great news for the Mets

The one thing that is obvious is that the Mets need a legit center fielder, so whether it's by trade or free agent signing that's the second most pressing issues behind catcher. With guys like Alvarez, Crow-Armtsrong, Greene etc years away, they can afford to give out decent contracts. While I don't want to turn into the old school Yankees, I wouldn't mind a free agent haul of Realmuto and Springer. That would sure up our defenses up the middle and bring quality bats to the lineup.

We just need to stop playing and address the defense once and for all.

i'd rather sign bradley jr, re-sign marisnick, and platoon them both vs giving springer a contract.

With a weak free agency, does Cohen want to make "His" mark? With Alderson and the ability to actually spend money now, it's going to be interesting to see how they approach fixing the holes on this team. Realmuto makes far too much sense and should be a priority, but how they round out the rotation and bullpen is also going to be interesting. Mets have a lot of holes, some real interesting pieces and an owner willing to spend.

Like everyone I love Bradley's glove, those two weeks he's on fire at the plate are awesome, but do the Mets want another Lagares type CF?

Which makes all of us hate the Cano trade even more. As much as I enjoyed Gimenez this year, are we ready to anoint him the starting SS going forward? Davis needs to play and it should be at third base. The Mets can't go into next year with Nimmo at CF, but someone has to play LF between Smith, McNeil, Nimmo and Davis. If they're serious they'll make a move, but I just don't know what they have up their sleeve yet.
