Kevin Durant says he wanted 'chill' Brooklyn instead of being Knicks 'savior'

Thoughts on this? Was Durant just being soft here or are Knicks fans way too demanding of our star players and our expectations are too high?

It's not really the fans. It's more so the media, but KD still picked the easy route. He decided he wanted to play in NY but didn't want the noise that comes with it, and that shouldn't have been surprising given that he signed with the Warriors with the assumption that he would just win rings without any sort of criticism.

There is def more pressure and expectations on the Knicks and not everyone is built for it. KD def wasn't built for it and would have crumbled.

On the flip side, any player that helps win the Knicks a title will be a god in the city forever. Knicks just got to start making smart moves and build a solid core. Biggest issue is that team has stunk and they built some garbage. Can't even blame players for not wanting to come unless we throw them a bag, although KD's reasons are suspect.

Why does the media keep bringing this topic up every 2-3 months? WHO GIVES A **** AT THIS POINT. IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR.

Besides everyone and their mama knew KD was going to be a Knick until he blew out that achilles.

I'm still calling bs on this. He's already said it was because Nets were closer to winning.

Knicks just need to make a good roster. Players want to win. Don't believe the bs that media and fans scare them away.

Players still go to the LAL because they had a winning culture despite being all hollywood.

i take nothing away from KD's on-court greatness. but he is so damn fragile. he couldn't handle being a knick. that's from the heart.

this is a man who creates burner accounts out of his own insecurity. we've seen this man damn near fight a child who heckled, "UT is butt." he ain't built for this. let him enjoy park slope or wherever.
