Great idea. Makes sense for both teams.

Yeah they have the 19th pick this year. I think they should add because Lavert has the injury history. Nets get a 3rd option for KD and Irving. We get the potential star and Masai will pull something off with the pick.

I can't wait to hear what Masai has to say. I want a direct question asked regarding Pascals performance.

Lateral Quicks wrote:I'm proud of this team. They battled until the very end. Ultimately, the fatigue caught up to them. There was a lot of poor decision-making down the stretch, and that isn't characteristic of this team. It sucks to lose like that, but full credit to Boston for forcing our guys to play heavy minutes, and for playing such great defense. This series could have gone either way, but ultimately Boston was ever so slightly better and deserves to move on.

Things we have learned this off-season:

- We need a legitimate backup PF on this team going forward. Siakam logged really heavy minutes all year, and that may have worn him down. The effort was there, but obviously the results we grew used to seeing weren't.

BS excuse considering he wasn't doing anything basketball related during the shutdown. All players are worn down when it comes time for the playoffs, Kawhi basically played on one leg in the finals.

Thank you Charles for calling out Siakam.

Did anyone here ever think siakam was a first option player? And if you did when was the last time you had your head checked? So much outrage and shock over him not playing like a superstar. And before you bring up his contract even 2nd/3rd options get max money now

Except the Nets would be so good, Pascal would thrive as the #3 or 4 option

1/3 of Boston’s points came off turnovers. Shocking.

rocky_da_best wrote:Siakam is an above average player thrust into the number one offensive option. No one can convince me otherwise. That contract is going to cripple us unless we can move him with picks for a star eventually. He has no business being the go-to guy in crunch time. He was absolute **** the entire playoffs, restart and even before then. We should have waited to give him his. I think Masai had the african blinders on cause there's no way in hell he's a max player.
forget being a number one option. the guy was horrible. anytime he had the ball in his hand there was a 80% chance something bad was going to happen. I've never seen someone fold this significantly in a playoff series before.

there HAS to be something we're missing. the Celtics were even giving him single coverage and he couldn't do a thing. I wonder if we hear anything about an injury or something.

pascal is hot garbage since he enter the bubble. the shooting doesn't even tell the whole story. He was a TO waiting to happen everytime he touch the ball. this effected his d as well.

Having said that, i am not going give up on him yet. he needs to hit the gym starting tomorrow.

Oh well, who the hell wants to win a championship with no fans in attendance anyways.

i love how they lost as a unit. First Siakam doing his best defumble impression. Then Powell **** up by not boxing out tatum, the Ball slips thru Ibaka's hand. To top it off FFV ends the season by calling his own number. All this while lowry is fouled out. it's like a mini preview to the years ahead after Lowry retires.

would've been fine losing if the celtics played well, but we beat ourselves. just dumb. bad rotations/lineups, poor execution, very sloppy and just dumb play all-around.

not the team i enjoyed watching all season.

def hope masai retools and doesn't give these guys big contracts. think i'm done with fred in toronto, same with marc. keep serge

pascal can go too, but i doubt anyone wants his contract.

masai got some work to do. we're a long way from contending

We were literally a basket or two in game 7 away from likely making the finals this year. I would say that means we're very close to contending - in fact, we just contended pretty damn well.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Um, most of the board was gushing over him this whole season saying he was elite. When people would question how he would fair in the playoffs those posters would get attacked.

Raptors were not suppose to be in a game 7 against a super talented Celtics.

Have some class and have some dignity. you can't win every year and you can win without a superstar, plain and simple.

This.

S*** fans that want to front run when we win but act like douches when we lose.

Smh.

Give me a break. I’ve literally watched 95% of all raptors games ever and this guy was a disgrace. He deserves all the hate he’s going to receive (and there will be a lot). He is the classic example of getting his big contract and falling off a cliff. There’s been tons in NBA history.

Guys, it's not Siakam's fault that every time he drives to the basket he gets hacked and no call. Tatum shot 10 FTs this game and Siakam got 4, that's the way it's been basically the whole series. No surprise Tatum is the one being championed as this future star.

Siakam logo with the heart what a farce. Dude played with zero heart.

Naw, I think his heart was in it, Just lost total confidence in his game. He just went Chuck Knoblauch on us in the bubble. hopefully he regains his form next season.
