How Siakam costed us on the offensive end eradicates the OK defense he played. Make no mistake, he only played OK on D. Not nearly enough to offset his negative impact.

Kinda excited to see how he comes out looking next year

To make the series go down to the last few possessions with one of the worst outputs from a #1 offensively, no other team could have done that. And to Pascal, I won't blame him for not being the guy, it's just not his game. Proud of this team for the season they gave us, heart of champs and easily the most rootable team we've ever had.

You really think he won't work on his game and come back a better player?

Um, most of the board was gushing over him this whole season saying he was elite. When people would question how he would fair in the playoffs those posters would get attacked.

I got grilled early in the season by saying it's a bad idea to to tranform pascal into a 1st option player. Granted his defensive intensity didn't drop THAT much, but it's clearly a role ill suited for his game. I just hope he didn't pick up all the bad habits and we can still revert him into a jack of all trades SF. First thing he has to speed up on reading the floor.

Basically said he can’t wait for FVV to get his money this offseason which means they must have talked and FVV said that’s he going to the highest bidder. Can’t say I’m really disappointed because FVV is not a legitimate PG for a real contender so good luck to him next year . Hope he gets his money that he wants so badly.

I enjoyed his tenure here but this might be a blessing in disguise for us

The blessing will come when someone wants to make a deal for Pascal. FVV can walk, 25m is too much. 20m is too much.

DeMar would do that too, then shrink again once playoffs came along. Nobody should be on his jock till he puts numbers up in the playoffs as the "#1 guy".

Masai is going to be up all night wondering how they got swindled into signing Siakam to a max contract.

Was a huge fan of Pascal, but if the rumours are true that he didn’t touch a basketball (nor worked out) for 3 months during the quarantine break, then I’m done. How you gonna get paid, given the keys to an organization as the next star player, get voted in as all-star starter, and then lose all your work ethic that got you here?

The half court offense, lack.of athleticism at the C, and. #1 option who needs another year /2 in the oven before he's ready..

maybe if he does it in the playoffs?

no reason to ever get excited about the regular season ever again. lebron knows what's up. the regular season is meaningless.

I'm not saying Boucher is good. But he would have been a hell of a lot better then Gasol this series. He could at the very least run and jump. Just those two things alone would have been better than Gasol. I am seething that Nurse didn't at least try that more. Baffling why he would have stuck with the plodding big man that was adding negative value.

Coaching aside, some very serious concerns about the team:

1. Rebounding.
The amount of second chance points and opportunities we gave up is unspeakable. No way you can give that up and expect to win.

2. Turnovers
Speaks for itself. Way too sloppy with the basketball

3. Scoring
This team is HURTING for a pure scorer. No one on this team can generate offense consistently with the exception of Lowry.

As for as the personnel goes - very scary performance by Pascal. I get guys have bad games sometimes but he looked liked he didn't even belong in the NBA. Playoffs is what matters and when your max guy looks like that in the playoffs, you have to get worried.

FVV got exposed as well. Terrible scorer at the rim, doesn't draw fouls and no midrange game at all. Unless that jumper is falling, he's really useless on offense. That is not the guy I want to pay $20+M per, especially considering that we're locked into Pascal's expensive deal. We should be looking to S&T him.

Gasol is toast. Extremely slow defensively and unless on O for the most part as well. Ibaka played well and will likely get $15-20M per over at least 3 years for a team that needs a versatile big. We should S&T him as well.

Powell, despite his performance tonight is a net positive value deal and probably the only non rookie asset I'd be interested in holding on to outside of Lowry. Sadly, that also means he has the highest trade value and if the right deal came along, I'd do it.

Gasol either retires or goes the Tyson Chandler route trying to get another ring by riding the bench on another contender. If FVV goes, I trust Masai to get more talent in the G League. Terence Davis is elevated to backup PG. Ibaka is probably gone like you said. This team has had a good run. Next year basically a treadmill year until Masai decides to try to make a big splash in 2021 FA.
