Kira is similar to lite Kemba
Hopefully Kira is adding strength, working on his handle and secondary moves (where he is avg at best) then he will become Kemba. He also needs to get to185lbs at least. A little lazy on defense.

I also think Cassuis Winston is a better PG overall than Frank and DSJ right now. He's Lowry light right now. High Ball IQ player. If given playing time will produce right away. I think Thibs will love him.

I dont think LaMelo is best PG in the draft, I think Hayes is. LaMelo is his brother. Passing, steals, rebounding... and a little fair.. still can't shoot, right now.

I like Haliburton but he's going to have trouble scoring in the NBA unless he improves his handle to create separation and get stronger. Only goes right. Fix that shot because its going to get block everytime in the NBA. No mid game. Smart player, High bball IQ, bad shooter for the NBA... will only pick him if he drops.

Leandro Bolmaro, one of my favorite sleeper, yes I think he can play point guard. Plays against grown men at 19yrs. I think he has the best secondary moves in the draft behind LaMelo. Uses both hands. Very creative. High ceiling. Good form, good shooting potential. Can get to the basket easily. Good Bball IQ.

Cole Anthony, a fan, but his jumper needs to be more consistent. He's a scoring PG. Shot creation is there. Still needs to show more. Players his size need to be automatic when open. That goes for Kira etc...He is not better than Frank or DSJ now. But can be in a year.

Tyrell Terry, my favorite sleeper, kid is fearless. NBA range, at high %. Shooting with shot creation is very valuable and he has it. Needs to add strength and weight and that's it. Only concern with him is his defense, strength and weight will help with that. I think he is the 3rd best PG in the draft. Actually looks taller than 6'1 to me..

Also Jalen Harris from Nevada no one is talking about... my super sleeper. Can hit and make all the shots, creative scorer and passer. Not talked about because he's 22yr, but he is 6'5 and I think he can give you more than DSJ right now. Reminds me of Gary Harris, taller with more passing.

My PG rankings:
Hayes
LaMelo
Tyrell Terry
Kira
Winston
Anthony
Bolmaro
Haliburton
Trey Jones
Payton Pritchard
Jalen Harris
Devon Dotson
RJ Hampton
Theo Maledon

Some people have their favorites and it could be based on feelings over logic and facts.... To there credit some players games do translate better in the league . And while I don't agree that this will happen with Cole I do hope that he somehow turns out better than he 's showed.- if we end up picking him.

This pick process is going to need to go deeper than looking at last seasons stats. Cole's season was an incomplete. I even think he came back early to make a push for the tourney.

Kira is crafty around the rim, but what is his ceiling? He looks like a Darren Collison IMO, which is not bad. Cole, damn if he really got handles and can knock down the 3, I would prefer to go that route.
If you believe Kira is the safer pick, then maybe I agree...but Cole can't be worst then the last 2 8th picks we've drafted.

I like that Kira can shoot the 3 and finish with either hand at 19 yrs old. Underrated. Refreshing.

Get me Hayes, Cole or Kira at 8.
Then I want Bane or Neismith at 27 or a trade up.
That athletic dude from Duke that plays like JR Smith is an option late too (forgot his name).

Kira ceiling.. I think Darren Collisonis his floor . Im not sure why he keps getting compared to a six footer when he's 6'3" ..Id say his ceiling is De'aaron fox. I dont see this gulf in upside between Cole and Lewis. If anything I give the higher upside to Kira, due to better shooting better length, youth and elite speed.

that would be a more appropriate place to take a stab if you believe in him. i think he'll be there.

i couldn't see myself passing on someone like bane for him there though.

That was the precise word that came to mind when I saw taking him at 8.

Magic Randolph 2.0 is a good gamble at 27.

Has us drafting Patrick Williams. This might be the worst case scenario for the picks ahead of us

1 pick away. Welcome to 2009 all over again...

Hopefully if there is a shot, Atlanta will be willing to swap picks for cash and a 2nd round pick.

I don’t really see the Knicks taking a point guard at 8 I think they trade or sign one in free agency.

And if they do draft one it will probably be cole he’s the most ready to perform under thibs and start (assuming nobody falls to 8)

Kira, the 6’3 fast PG who plays for 37 minutes a game fits Thibs style the most.

I like both Cole and Kira... but I think Terry has the much higher ceiling, he already shoots and passes better than both of them. Winston is the most ready to produce now.

Kira reminds me of DeAaron Fox but with better basketball skills. I think Kira can develop into the player Fox should’ve been developing into.

Say what? Fox was better than Kira in just about everything when he came out of Kentucky.. and is continuing to develop into a great nba player... Not sure what more you expect of him

Yeah, Kira is not close to the prospect Fox was. If he was, he'd be getting talked about much higher than the teens.

His feel for the game is just not adequate and certainly not at Fox's level coming out. Sure he's quick, but he's not making advanced reads, manipulating the defense, craftiness/change-of-pace is lacking, and his finishing and scoring variety is not particularly great, either. For all the perceived shortcomings I assign to Killian, he is a superior prospect, at least, and doesn't seem to struggle in htese areas. Fox was also a much better defender.

I think Kira will be a good back-up quick-pace guard, but I think there will be better players there at 8.
