Neither will beat the Lakers anyway so I hope Denver pulls this out.
Jokic/AD would be a fun matchup
I don't know, Denver seems on a mission. I'd love to see them win it all. Always really liked Millsap, but I love Jokic.
That would be incredible.
I said before the restart that it wouldn't shock me if Denver or Utah won it all but I'm not sure I actually believed it was possible.
If Denver wins this game, I'll be their biggest fan until their run ends for better or worse.
I remember when they were down 3-1 against Utah someone said on the GB "It just shows how much better a coach Snyder is than Malone." I've never thought of Malone as a great coach, but what is funny is that when a coach wins a Championship, they suddenly vault into like the top 7 or 8 coaches from many perspectives. Usually higher because it's already someone really respected, like if Stevens wins, he will be thought of as top 3, though he probably already is. At this point, people may (or maybe should) rate Spoelstra and Stevens ahead of Pop...not overall maybe, but just right now.
But a lot of it comes down to talent. Stevens was awesome in college though...got a small school in Butler to the championship twice, which is tough for any team...tough to even get there once in a single elimination tournament..he's a genius. They came down to a last shot against Duke too that would have won the championship.
I think if Spo wins he will be thought of as the best coach by many, and maybe same with Stevens. Nurse is an awesome coach too.
