If this not the old Knicks I don’t know what is. Giving up a young player who was poorly developed for over the hill Chris Paul. For a few more meaningless wins in loaded draft. I would be super pissed, might be worst than the kp trade

Thank you sir for this post! Makes 0 sense

What is with the obsession with Chris Paul?

35 year old point guard with a terrible contract. He had a rejuvenated season but that’s not the type of gamble you make when your team is awful. You especially don’t trade picks for an aging veteran. We have no use for Chris Paul and his contract. The team is much worse than OKC talent-wise and all our guards are below average to awful. There is no SGA to mentor. We should continue building through the draft and making smart trades - like taking on salary for picks - and not do dumb short-sighted moves like this that don’t help us in the present or future.

If it’s about changing culture, then fine. Randle & Knox only. Knox lazy and so is Randle, CP3 isn’t. We draft Hayes, Cole or Kira, even better. Opens up minutes for Ignas too.

Horrific idea

Just horrific

35 years old, injury history, OKC asking for assets

THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL A LOSE LOSE SITUATION

You make the move, you either gave up too much for declining player, he gets injured, he has maybe 1 more good year and lose out on a legendary draft class and you still get criticized by the media for being lolknicks

You don't make the move and people are upset because you didn't want to change the culture and remain lolknicks and CP3 ends up having a good year somewhere else and people will be upset that the trade wasn't made in 2021 and get laughed at again for being lolknicks

To even be associated with this idea is a trash state of existence

Knicks need to come out and say they have no interest in trading for CP3 and denounce the rumors immediately. If this idea makes it to the national media, team is in trouble.

If all it costs in Randle and Knox count me in. Knox should be playing in the G League. Other than his summer league his rookie year he hasn't shown me anything. Paul may have a terrible contract but good free agents havent been signing here anyway. Paul should help Dennis Smith learn to play PG and Paul should help Mitchell Robinson turn into the next Deandre Jordan with all the lobs.

Knicks should only be participating as a 3rd team to get assets for the dead-weight that teams like LAC, MIL, etc would need to ship out in order to take in Paul

I would prefer to give them DSJ and keep Knox for another year (it'll probably be another shortened one next season too).

We had the worst development staff in the league. Its common sense to keep him see how he does this season especially since we have his former coach who been vouching for him day one

You're right, things can only go up for his career.

That's not always a good thing though.

I honestly don't care. We won't be re signing both Frank and Knox past their rookie deals anyway at this point. We **** the bed too badly at the beginning of their development. Trading for Cp3 would mean they clearly want to try and maximize whatever untapped potential DSjr has and see if CP's point gawd smarts rub off on him. I wouldn't be mad

This doesn't even make sense. Just having Portis and Elf in the deal shows it's fake

Some of you act like cp3 is a bum and OKC would be stupid to throw away picks to get rid of him maybe if James Dolan was the owner of OKC then your wish would come true lol.

Don't blame coaching staff for Knox lack of production his growth is almost non-existent the seniors who come out of college give more production.
