Bled/future pick for Pat Bev/Shamet?

Edit: make it multiple picks (no more than one 1st) if need be

I can't believe I'm saying this but maybe Terry Rozier? I hate myself.

Add the Clippers as another potential suitor for CP3. Ballmer has deep pockets and if he thinks going far into the luxury tax is the only way to convince Kawhi/PG to stick around, he's 100% going to do it. Horst can't come out of this offseason with DJ Augustine and Will Barton when the other contenders, again, are being proactive and looking to make big moves.

New to this forum. Greetings from Australia.

My personal opinion would be for the Bucks to change nothing except 3 things:

1. Exchange Bledsoe for CP3 or Ricky Rubio. Bucks right now are hurting in the driver's position and they need a reliable PG. The rest will fall in place once they have a proper PG.
2. Giannis needs to take less responsibilities offensively. Concentrate on the defense while offensively let CP3 or Ricky drive the game.
3. Bud needs to use the regular season to prepare the team for the playoffs by trying different team plans on the court, instead of the current approach. Maybe hiring a European coach as an assistant could be an eye opener.

Cheers.

Harrison averaged 15.5 points per 36, with a TS% of 56, and a PER of 17.8, while defending the oppositions best player. He was lights out when given the starting job. He'd likely beat out Mathews for the starting job.

How much of that is on the back of unsustainable shooting though? I mean in 2 games he made as many threes as he did the rest of the season, was a career 25% shooter before that and never shot anything respectable even at a college line. Does seem like he's got some fight in him though, I'm intrigued.

The Bucks shouldn't be signing any guards or wings who can't shoot. Harrison hasn't even remotely proven he can shoot. Dude is a very poor man's Bledsoe, who none of us want.

The variations of Rozier trades that I would actually consider (as someone that absolutely hates his game) are:

1. Something like Terry for George Hill & Ilyasova
2. Having Charlotte attach assets to Rozier to take him off their hands

I'm guessing #1 is the more likely of the two hypotheticals. In all likelihood, he'd be a downgrade from Hill, but Ilyasova is just salary matching at this point and I think the theoretical possibility that Bud can pull something out of Terry might make it worth it to swap Hill for him.

Already posted it in the Giannis thread, but The Athletic published more details on the meeting with Giannis and ownership and one part of that was that "sources with knowledge of the owners' thinking" say it's highly unlikely they'll bother to pursue Chris Paul due to his personality and his contract. They don't think his strong personality would fit within the team's locker room with Giannis' strong personality. Says "all indications are that they'll look elsewhere".

The report also said that all parties left with a sense of synergy so I presume that means that either:
1. The CP3 part is just blowing smoke to try to downplay their pursuit
2. Giannis doesn't want CP3

Possible Philly blows it up?

If Embiid becomes available that will seriously impact the trade market.

And it's not like the Sixers' front office has a great track record of late.

Read on Twitter

Embiid has had a front row seat for Hinkie’s ousting and all the asset and roster carnage that has since ensued. Long gone is the promise of a treasure chest of assets to play with. Long gone are the cost-controlled two way All-Defense wings. Long gone are the days Philadelphia would routinely fillet dumb teams in trades. Long gone are his best friends like Dario Saric and Justin Anderson and his most complementary teammates like JJ Redick and Jimmy Butler. Joel has publicly flirted with leaving the team before on Instagram with Butler. It should not be taken lightly. His instincts, like yours and mine, were correct whenever the team was making massive franchise defining mistakes, long before we watched it all play out last night on tv in the bubble

Embiid isn't all there even when he is all there. He was massively out of shape this year and only tries on certain nights.

Bucks need a big time guard more than they need Joel Embiid

Go all in for Beal or Jrue Holiday, maybe Mike Conley

Seeing JJ Redick name there, he'd be a guy who would help the Bucks immensely

Embiid does seem to understand team-building 10x better than the average player. He'd fit right in on this board. I appreciate how he said he missed the guys who they had drafted and developed, questioning the impulse to make win-now trades for bigger names. The vast majority of stars are the exact opposite of that. I don't like his effort and demeanor on the court and he's incredibly immature, but the other stuff is kind of refreshing.

Well that would be great. I can't say I saw any of those games but that's the kind of thing that warrants more opportunity.

The Sixers are another team who could use a big time guard, so their posture could end up impacting the broader market even if we never have direct talks with them.

That and I really don't know if a Middleton-based package would even get us into the conversation.

I'd be surprised at this point if the 6ers don't trade one of Simmons or Embiid. They should have done it last summer but w/e. Simmons for Beal, Embiid for Nurk and CJ, something that will balance the floor.

That they still have Brand has to be concerning for 6ers fans, the guy has shown no capacity for sensible team building.

I'm not opposed to JJ, as I agree he'd help us immensely, but I hope we aren't focused on 36 year old bandaids. Because they probably won't put us over the top, and they definitely won't help us long-term.

The shooting is a legit concern, but I'm encouraged that he's shown improvement in all other areas of his offensive game since working with Lavine's trainer, including improved mid range shooting.

Will he continue at 38% 3 point shooting? Unlikely, simply because very few do that. Could he shoot the 3 better than Pat and Sterling, and similar to Wes? For a contract slightly more than the BAE, I'd love to find out, because the rest of his game is perfect for us.

Expanding my earlier Clips idea:

LAC in: Bled, TLC, two 2nds (mke & bkn)
LAC out: Bev, Shamet

MKE in: Shamet, Dinwiddie, DAJ
MKE out: Bled, Robin, #24, future 2nd

BKN in: Bev, #24, Robin
BKN out: Dinwiddie, TLC, DAJ

Id actually start w/o #24 - maybe make that a 2nd - and hope taking DAJs contract is enticing enough, but Id add #24 if thats what ultimately seals the deal. Admittedly I think the Clips have grander ideas though.
