If it goes to game 7, Lakers lose.

If Murray continues to play like a true superstar they have a good shot at it. I dont see the Lakers bothering Jokic much.

First off huge congratulations to all the Denver fans especially on GM!

In the past I would have been rooting for LAC but early on I found myself rooting for you guys. I think there were 2 reasons for that.

1. The Clippers low brow actions vs Dallas (especially Morris) made it hard for me to root for LAC.

2. The bigger reason is because you guys showed so much heart. To come back from consecutive 3-1 deficits is amazing!

Now do us all a favor. Beat the Lakers!!!
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

My head says the Lakers win. But then again, my head said the Clippers would win and after four games, my head said the Jazz would win. If the Lakers get a 3-1 advantage; look out

I don't really like the argument that's thrown out there by a few that Howard & McGee will limit Jokic. That's nuts.

However I'm confident that AD will do a good job on him and then Howard can protect the rim from the drives. I also like Caruso on Murray. The guy plays great D and apart from him we have (not great but) solid perimeter defenders in "playoff Rondo", KCP or Green. These are the spots we can win. If we win we will win w/ our defense.

I expect this to be a hard series as this Nuggets is great and I found a player in Jokic who I can root for - I can't remember the last time it happened w/ a non-Laker.

Offtopic but this playoff is great. I cannot tell how refreshing this to see the title run being open again.

From top to bottom, the Nuggets have more talent than the Lakers.

Jokic is Lebron and AD combined plus we have a co-star in Murray (Baby Brandon Roy) and a complete team of contributors (Millsap, Harris, MPJ, Grant, Craig, Bol Bol, etc.)! No one on the Lakers can handle Murray. When push comes to shove in a tough playoff game, Lakers can only count on 3 guys--Lebron, AD and Rondo. Maybe McGee gives you a little something. Nevertheless, that's not enough. Y'all been gassing up Caruso. Monte Morris > Caruso, it's as simple as that plus Bol Bol and Dozier have something for your Carushow, which will not be renewed, uh-huh. KCP, Green, Morris, Howard, etc. are very up and down. Denver has 6 reliable double-digit scorers on any given night, and we always play together! The "narrative" that so many have mistakenly bought into is false, the Nuggets are the better and more resilient team.

Nuggets win in 6! You'll see the Mighty Nuggets in the NBA Finals, book it! Nuggeteer Family Stand up!

Lakers need to go up 3-0 or win in 5. I feel like another 3-1 will just unbelievably energize the Nuggs

0-1 Lakers Vs 3-1 Nuggets both have been meme teams in the playoffs, it will be interesting to see what happens if that scenario plays out.

Either way im expecting major overreactions after game 1.

Clippers are gonna kill the Nuggets. Murray can't play against Kawhi and PG

Luckily for Lakers, they have Caruso and Danny Green instead :)))

Except they going up against a dialed-in Lebron, not a cocky Lebron.

Pretty huge difference there.

PG13 is a great player, but Clipper fans thought that the Kawhi/PG13 vs. LeBron/AD comparisons were fair. They are not. AD is in a different stratosphere than Paul George. When LeBron dials in, he's in a different stratosphere than anyone on the planet in the realm of basketball.

LeBron/AD is a whole new, much deadlier beast than Kawhi/PG13. I don't think the Nuggets have anyone that cover either one of them, and unlike Kawhi/PG13 could do, either Lebron or AD can pick apart a defense on their own.

Am I the only one that thinks Millsap matches up with LBJ quite well? Both have lost a step and obviously LBJ is more athletic / quicker but in terms of the bully ball that he is slowly relying on more, Paul has the strength to absorb alot of power. I think Millsap and Grant are decent matchups against LBJ. You cant stop him, but they can both him better than most IMO.

I think LAL wins sadly, but it will be a great series. Joker is just too talented to be stopped by AD, he can bull the hell out of him in the post and if you put Dwight or McGee on him, he is going to make them look foolish. I am much more worried about who guards the AD than anything else for Denver. His quickness and body control will give Joker fits.

Tough to read the Lakers. In the end, they demonstrated that small ball iso-3P has a low chance against them, especially when their defense turns up.

Denver is an entirely different build than those two. Whereas POR/HOU relied on guard creation, DEN is gonna move the ball and exhaust LAL.

I guess we’ll get game 1 with an overreaction one way or another, but both have good coaches and deep benches. I think this series goes 7.

The lakers dont have that much of an edge matchup wise Imo.

The nuggets have grant, millsap, Craig, plumlee to throw at james/ad to try to bother them.
The nuggets have also more depth.

Kuzma vs mpj could be kind of interisting.

The lakers are favorites obviously du to Ad and James but that nuggets is really dangerous.

None of those guys you mentioned have a chance against Davis. They're either not strong enough or not quick enough. Denver needs to come up with a hell of a game plan to try to slow him down because 1-on-1 that's barbecue chicken. I think Grant could probably do a respectable enough job on LeBron, but LeBron's LeBron so he'll get his. Millsap I'm not convinced can hang with LBJ just because he was never able to even years ago in their matchups, and Millsap's athleticism has declined more than Bron's since then.
