"The [New York] Knicks might be one of the only teams that could be a fit for Westbrook," the executive continued. "Not sure if there are any others."
I am not the "executive" mentioned even if I did start a thread about Westbrook. Just to be clear. And no just as with CP3 I would not trade any real assets for either guy.

All this means is this offseason everyone is on the table but Lebron and AD. The Knicks have the most picks, all their youth, have a top 10 coach, and have large amounts of cap space. We shall see...

Re: Russ & CP3 in the Garden
The Knicks are not in any risk of contention the next 2 years. At this point, trading away anything of value including Knox, DSJr, Frank or even 2nd round picks for Harden, Westbrook or Paul would be a huge error. I'd rather see them offer a max contract to Ingram. Harden and Westbrook have not shown the ability to win championships and Paul would mostly be here to mentor. Paul can't be a mentor if there are no young players to mentor.
But then again, these are the Knicks, so stupid things are what we do...

Re: Russ & CP3 in the Garden
All this exec said is the Knicks are the only team who could pull it off if they wanted which is factually true, but doesn't mean they actually have interest in it.
Would depend on how many picks we receive in the deal but I could do without Russ this offseason. Would rather pay FVV or trade for CP in a salary dump.

Charlotte, Detroit and Atlanta all have the cap space to make it happen as well, it's just the Knicks that are viewed as being stupid enough to do it. On a related note, Detroit should totally go after Westbrook - he and Blake Griffin were made for each other.

You wouldn’t trade Knox Frank DSJ or even 2nd round picks for James Harden?

I'd rather get stuck with a Bally's Total Fitness gym membership in the 90's.

At the very least, you trade for him, milk him and flip him for assets. I think some guys on here want to become contenders in one fell swoop.
