yeah its an interesting game plan where Mcgee and howard actually might give Jokic and the nuggets something they aren't use to with focusing on lobs and getting jokic into foul trouble.

Jokic, Giannis and Harden should all agree to form a super team.

Yes that was garbage time but it is important to get these guys shots that aren't just 3's because they aren't just C&S guys. I don't want grant, harris, and MPJ just jacking up 3's. They need to get them going to the basket and maybe even the FT to get going. Then the 3's may open up.

The nuggets aren't the rockets where you want 3 guys just stading around was my point. But yes I do realize it was far to late and it was garbage time.

Gary Harris, Grant and Porter have extremely basic handles. They’re really poor creators. They’re not even doing anything impressive against the Lakers bench warmers right now. If if they can’t hit 3’s, they’re useless. Nuggets need a better third option who can create their own shot cause nobody on the Nuggets can do that besides Jokic and Murray.

No one is asking those players to ISO or playmake. There are other ways to get involved. They all are good cutters to the basket. You can hit some of them coming off screens and just moving around rather then just simply standing a corner watching the 2 man game of Jokic/Murray.

Jokic and Murray need to be on to win...no one is denying that. But to have a chance vs the lakers just like the other teams when they fell behind 3-1...its not a surprise as there role players started to play better they were part of the reason those series turned.

They’re getting wide open looks. If they can’t hit open shots then it’s on them. Not Jokic and Murray.

Harris had a whopping 5 points today. Porter was 3-9, Grant was 3-11. It’s not like they were hot and they want more touches like Porter wanted the other day. They simply **** the bed today. Sorry, but they just flat out sucked today. Even against the bench warmers they looked terrible.

I think there was a stretch in which Howard hit Jokic in the face, following play Jokic elbowed Davis in the face, Caruso hit Jokic on the face. Tony Brothers was out there, the ultimate company man after all. There'll definitely be opportunities for lobs the entire series, with LeBron/Davis/McGee/Howard the Lakers have a ton of guys that can jump over Millsap/Jokic all game long.

Murray passes out of a last resort. He never looks to get shooters going, he only dishes when he gets locked up 1 on 1 and picks up his dribble. There is no rhythm or purpose to cut for the other guys, they just stand and watch. Murray himself is better playing off the ball than on the ball.

Lakers are such a good passing team, if Jamal thinks he's going to beat them 1 on 5  good luck

Murray is averaging 6.5 assists. Stop acting like his vision is Coleslaw’s.

its just the ebbs and flows of a series. Nuggets shots 34% from 3...and lakers shot a crazy 42%. It will flaten out I believe. If not then the lakers will steam roll this series if the nuggets are making there shots.

Well there you have it. If the role players aren’t showing up then it’s a wrap. Jokic and Murray are gonna get theirs as usual. But if the role players can’t do a simple job and hit wide open shots, then they have no shot against the Lakers. Let’s see what happens in game 2.

GB awful quiet with the Jokic > AD talk

When Jokic bounces back, and he will b/c he’s that good, watch it be everywhere.

yes but just because Jokic and Murray had effecient offensive games shooting wise that doesn't mean they playered really well either. They had 7 turnovers to 7 assists and they could do a much better job defensively.

Milsap getting eaten alive by AD doesnt help either. Mislap is washed up man....AD is going to eat him alive all series unless Denver changes something up.

Murray isn’t getting destroyed on defense like Jokic was tonight though. Jokic needs to do a better job and yes I agree Millsap is awful. He shows up randomly whenever he wants to.

Nuggets will have no answer for AD. He’s simply unguardable. If the Nuggets role players can hit some wide open shots, it will help. We’ll just see what happens in this series if they get better. Nuggets don’t even start trying until their down 3-1 anyways

He’s probably the most frustrating player to watch on Denver. Jokic and Murray do a great job of setting him up for good looks and he always blows them. He’s like an expensive version of Lance Thomas

No we know who he was talking to  . Jokic passes and guys actually run and cut with purpose when he has the ball. Jamal needs to get out of that Jr Smith state of mind but they arent beating the Lakers as much as I want them to. At the very least, they need to play better and have a legit strategy to beat the Lakers. Jamal dribbling into a wall, picking up his dribble and passing out of desperation with 3 seconds on the clock is not an offense that is going to succeed. Or Jamal dribbling off his leg when he brings the ball up the floor wont work either. Having Lebron sit him on his ass and talk trash to him isnt a good look either. Neither is his whining and complaining and crying to the refs because he cant take Alex Caruso off the dribble. Hopefully he doesnt sulk and comes back better next game, I'm rooting for the Nuggets here but I dont like what I saw out there in game 1

Looks like we both saw different games. Cause I saw Murray getting his team mates wide open looks. Not just dribbling the ball for 20 seconds and doing a desperate pass. Will just have to agree to disagree with you. Let’s hope the Nuggets bounce back.
