I don't disagree. My point is those guys you mentioned above simply aren't just catch and shoot floor spacers.
Yes that was garbage time but it is important to get these guys shots that aren't just 3's because they aren't just C&S guys. I don't want grant, harris, and MPJ just jacking up 3's. They need to get them going to the basket and maybe even the FT to get going. Then the 3's may open up.
The nuggets aren't the rockets where you want 3 guys just stading around was my point. But yes I do realize it was far to late and it was garbage time.
Gary Harris, Grant and Porter have extremely basic handles. They’re really poor creators. They’re not even doing anything impressive against the Lakers bench warmers right now. If if they can’t hit 3’s, they’re useless. Nuggets need a better third option who can create their own shot cause nobody on the Nuggets can do that besides Jokic and Murray.
No one is asking those players to ISO or playmake. There are other ways to get involved. They all are good cutters to the basket. You can hit some of them coming off screens and just moving around rather then just simply standing a corner watching the 2 man game of Jokic/Murray.
Jokic and Murray need to be on to win...no one is denying that. But to have a chance vs the lakers just like the other teams when they fell behind 3-1...its not a surprise as there role players started to play better they were part of the reason those series turned.
They’re getting wide open looks. If they can’t hit open shots then it’s on them. Not Jokic and Murray.
Harris had a whopping 5 points today. Porter was 3-9, Grant was 3-11. It’s not like they were hot and they want more touches like Porter wanted the other day. They simply **** the bed today. Sorry, but they just flat out sucked today. Even against the bench warmers they looked terrible.
