No to Embiid, yes to Simmons. Embiid has a ton of talent but seems to be disinterested in playing basketball at times. Plus his conditioning and health are huge concerns.

I suspect that Harris and Horford are the guys who would be shopped and that they'd try to use Thybull and their pick as sweeteners (esp. for Horford). Harris' contract is bad, but he's shown to be a good NBA player, who, IMO, may have trouble as a 3rd option. Here, he'd become option 1a. If Philly was desperate enough, I'd do Otto/Felicio/Kornet/44 for Harris/Thubull/Korkmaz/21.

Embid is gone if Mike D is hired. It's an enticing scenario but don't know what they would want in return looking at our guys. They most likely want Harris lumped in with Embid and that's a ton of money tied up going forward.

I love Harrell but I think he'll cost more than our biennial exemption. Also, I'm really hoping we nab SF or a PF to replace the departing Otto and Lauri.

Maybe it’s been covered a bunch but with Billy on board, what does a CP3 deal look like.
Otto and Sato for CP3?

Is that it? Would that deal get done or would OKC want a pick too. Paul would be one more year at $40 mil taking us out of Free agency in 21 or would guys want to come ply with him??

Paul’s last year is player option, what if he comes and renegotiates a longer deal to help lure guys?

Chris Paul can play 2 more years.

He would be worth targeting once his contract is up as a veteran leader off the bench. Many people are speculating that it would cost a 1st round draft pick for CP3, which is more than I would be willing to give up. I think his value is overinflated because of the shortened season.

I would not give up a 1st rd pick (even protected) for Paul.

Both Lauri and Lavine would thrive in Mike D'Antoni's offense. If Simmons or Embiid are available, we have to pursue it.[/quote]

I would deal all of Lavine, Lauri, Carter for Embiid. Works in trade machine and its a 3for 1 better fit in MDAs system.
Even if Embiid left, you would have a giant cap space to replace him with another max after making the playoffs.
Build the team around Embiid your franchise player with Sato/White/Porter/Young/Embiid and focus on acquiring/drafting 3and D players.
Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!

That’s way too much. If Phili can’t win with Embiid, Simmons, Harris, & Horford, what makes you think the Bulls will win with the scraps left over?

The most I would give is OPJ, Lauri Markkanen, #4, & 2022 unprotected for Embiid & #21. That feels like a similar return compared to the Jimmy Butler trade.

Zach LaVine / Adam Mokoko
Chandler Hutchison / Jaden McDaniels

If Mike D is hired he will want to keep Horford and Harris, these guys can shoot and defend. They can also play fast. Horford came from Atlanta where they played a quick offensive game. Mike will want some scorers and shooters. If anything Mike will want to get rid of Embid who is slow and if they engage the Bulls for a trade Phily will be interested in the following pieces like Porter, Lavine, Laurie, White, and Sato make sense for a trade. Not sure what the trade package would be, but Porter, Lavine, and Sato makes the most sense. Sending #4 pick seems like alot considering that Lavine and Porter (when healthy) are very strong offensive players. If the Bulls send the pick than Thybulle would need to be included.

I wouldn't include Lavine in any of the trades for Embid or Simmons. Lavine and Embid would be a good duo together.

What would it take to get Rose? It would work in my mind and adding him would make the offense less predictable.

I'm sorry, but you can't call Embiid slow and then say 34-year-old Al Horford is able to play fast. He might have been, but he certainly isn't anymore. Overall, Horford looked really bad for much of this season IMO.

There is no way the Sixers even consider that offer. That's not even close to what Embiid is worth. They get significantly worse and don't add much for the future.

2 second rounders + filler maybe? Doubt the Pistons will get a first for him, but they will certainly try.

I wouldn't be interested in giving up any future assets for Rose, but I think it would be really easy to get him.

Just wait until he is a free agent and bring him back.

Would Bulls trade White and Carter Jr for the #2 pick in this draft?
