On 16 shots, 68% TS. With incredible defense. Simply one of the most talented players we've ever seen.

Still saddens me we never got a Bron v Kobe Finals despite one of them being there every year from '07 till the end of Kobe's career.

Are you that saddened though if you're a Lebron fan?
The Lakers likely beat the Cavs every time. No matter how Lebron would have played, it would have looked bad on his legacy for most detractors.

You may be right - I realize its all about matchups but LeBron pushed the Celtics just as far as the Lakers did in '08. Even if the Lakers won though, I just would have loved to see them compete in the playoffs.

We beat La in 6 in 08. Cavs took us 7. So did the Hawks..........lol. So glad Doc isnt coaching this team anymore

Oh yeah thats right . . . I forgot that finals only went 6. It was '10 that went 7. Also as to Eddy_JukeZ's point about Cavs not being able to beat the Lakers, 2011 & 2012 were chances too. There were plenty of years both ways.

But I think younger Jordan is better than younger Lebron.
Don't think I would have subscribed to that notion prior to 2017.

I'd break it down a bit further.
LeBron got smart about impact at a younger age.
Jordan had the more dominant run at his best.
LeBron's body and brain just make him age better than Jordan.

Fair points. What do you mean about the bolded line though?
I do think Lebron's body is certainly more of a physical specimen than Jordan despite Jordan's incredible athleticism himself.
If you were to design a NBA player in a lab, it'd probably look like Lebron.
The impact of college ball on Jordan and playing under Dean Smith also can't be understated.

Tangential, but do you subscribe to 1991 being the better run than 1992 or vice versa? I see a lot of people side with 1991 but I'm more impressed by 1992.
dreamshake wrote:Man I would love to be proven wrong, but I really think people in here are underestimating the Heat. I think they'll be tougher than any of the first 3 rounds. They're just so much more imposing defensively than Portland/Houston/Denver IMO. And Spo has a hell of a jumpstart gameplanning for a LeBron team. Like I said, hope I'm wrong . . . but I expect it to be a dogfight.

Your team is proof that it was weak. Needing 3 Western Conference All-D players to sniff the Finals and the most reverent player in the franchise was a Houston Rocket.
The player(s) that the team drafted internally: Derozan and Valanciunas are laughing stocks of the franchise
