I think people thinking this will be easy are crazy. Miami is gonna be a problem.

Miami seems really scary. Hope the Lakers' injuries heal up by Wednesday

Jesus I can't believe the game is in 3 days
Wish the NBA gave everyone a couple more days to scout and heal up

It’s midnight for Cinderella. Lakers in 5. An easier 5 than Denver was

Butler and Bam are like a worse version of LeBron and AD...with a much better 3-8.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm super high on the Nuggets and feel they are better than both Miami and Boston. I think the Lakers have already overcame their toughest test of the run.

Lebron and AD are too good.
6 max. I think 5 is more likely.

After Jokic and Murray who is even good on the Nuggets? Jerami Grant?

They have more depth but the best two players on the floor are both Lakers and by a significant margin. Like not even close. Save for the 2004 NBA finals that tends to bode well for you, and unlike the 04 Lakers this team isn’t ready to rip apart at the seams with infighting at the first sign of adversity
Lakers are a tier above everyone this year. They were trending that way before the pandemic and they’re certainly there now. Even as Milwaukee plowed through the regular season we all knew that in the playoffs they had very exploitable weaknesses given Giannis lack of refinement and their lack of answers beyond him should a team find a way to force him out of his comfort zone. The Clippers were paper tigers all along. The Lakers are the best and most complete team in the 19-20 season and they’re gonna make that abundantly clear next round IMO

Jokic and Murray PNR puts more pressure on the defense than anything the Heat can muster.

Re: The Lebron '20 Thread (Pt. 7)
I haven’t really payed much attention to Miami, so that might be why, but I’m just not worried about them. After going through Lillard, Harden, and Murray/Jokic, Butler seems like an easy #1 option to contain. He’s scored under 20 points more than he’s scored over 25 points in the playoffs. He’s also a bad 3 point shooter, so that will be a welcome change from a #1 option. I know they have lots of good role players, but we have LeBron and AD.
But, like I said, haven’t watched them in the playoffs so could be wrong.

The combination of Jokic and Murray put more pressure on the defense than anything the Heat can muster.
The Heat will have insane spacing to make up for that. Also, the Heat are more perimeter based - there will be room for them to drive.
Nuggets are basically just a 1-2 punch team that isn't as good as LA's. Heat offer a different challenge.
I'm interested to see how Bam deals with Howard.

Millsap, Grant, Morris, Harris, even MPJ on offense. The Nuggets are really good, man.
And honestly that same "after their top 2 who is even good" has been said about the Lakers, as well. When your top 2 are as good as Jokic and Murray (who basically played like Steph this run), you don't need a third star.

I think the Heat could be the toughest series the Lakers have, but they'll still win with relative ease.

MPJ, Grant, Morris, Harris, and Millsap vs Dragic, Robinson, Herro, Iggy, and Crowder
Pretty close and even if you lean with Miami, Jokic and Murray (especially this version of Murray)>>Butler and Bam
That pick and roll/pop was very tough for everyone, even us, to defend
Thinking this all through, I got us in 5-6 for now
I want to read a bit more from someone like Cranjis though
Nice to not have to go against GS for once, been so long

Yeah, it has been said because the Lakers actually aren't good after their top 2. Their top 2 are among the best players in the league, so that helps a lot. Jamal Murray is not as good as LBJ.
Paul Milsap looked horrible the entire playoffs, he looks like a snail. Gary Harris was horrible. "MPJ on offense" - well, it's not football so he has to play defense. I mean Morris is on there, that's really enough said.
Compare that to Tyler Herro, Goran Dragic, Duncan-Robinson. Most of those guys you listed aren't even as good as Jae Crowder since he joined Miami. Heat has weapons, Denver is overly reliant on hero ball - they're as good on top and might have better depth than LA because who isn't, but their supporting cast needs some serious restructuring.
The Nuggets really got as far as they did because of herculean effort from Murray and Jokic. That's pretty much it.
