Just MHO, but this draft is 2013, but worse. The best player is probably going to be someone drafted randomly in the middle, who actually pans out. I have no confidence in the 'consensus' top 3 guys.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

All of the "consensus" top 3 have large bust potential. I'd still take Ball if available, but otherwise would be extremely happy trading down and getting a solid double in Hayes or Okongwu. Hell, I'd be fine if we took either at 3. This team still needs another year to rebuild. Lets get a top pick in 2021 and then evaluate the next steps forward. No point in making short term moves to go from winning 25 games to 33.

Is next year the double draft, or is that 2022?

yap, thats why I want us to trade down and grab Terry. I actually think he and Joe are the best two players in this draft.

In defense of this draft I do think it is the deepest I have ever seen overall.

Likely 2022 but not confirmed.

2021 is loaded with star potential wings + couple fringe frontcourt stars/all stars (maybe Ballo if he declares already next year, for sure Garuba and couple more for international players).
2022 should be Bates for the wings, but with more star potential for every positions i would say.
2023 should be Wembanyama and a few more international prospects with high potential (Ousmane Dieng should be in this draft i think, and he is probably the most talented combo guard we ever produced in France, it remains to be seen if he joins Duke and if he confirms of course)

Lots of wings coming with (very) high potential, which is why Miles should be traded while he still has value. And Charlotte has basically three years to land a real star. The ideal being geting Cunningham (or another if there is any other with his potential) in 2021. And not messing up in 2022/23 in order to be competitive in 2024 (under the new cba).

The NCAA and HS have been blasted this year. 2022 is gonna be full of reclassing guys.

There should be many potential mid to late 1st steals in that draft. Its tempting to try to get more picks in this draft because they are being valued so low and there will be some steals, but the patient/smart move is to probably try to use cap space and expiring contracts to get pretty much any 2022 pick we can get our hands on.

How much money and what would we need to give up to keep 32 while buying a 20 something pick? I think its can be done in this draft. Just some opinions. Id love to walk out with that 20th or so being RJ Hampton.

Boston has three first round picks, can't imagine they'll keep all of them.

I'd like to get in on that action. Maybe getting the 14. Its a fun idea to entertain. I'd throw serious cash and 32 for the 14th.

Great idea but I wouldn't do it only because it's too risky imo.

The only two players I would be interested in are Tyrell Terry and Devin Vassell and Vassell is almost guaranteed to be
gone by then. Terry is a gamble.

If we could get Terry at 14 that would be great.

We give boston 32 and cash. They give us pick 14.

Or we give them pick 3 and they give us picks 14, 26 and 30.

PICK 14 - Tyrell Terry

PICK 26 - Tyler Bey

PICK 30 - Isaiah Joe

PICK 56 - LaMar Stevens

This would be a great draft but too risky

It would be fun to trade with Boston tho and potentially pick up a FAB 5 through the draft

PICK 14 - Tyrell Terry

PICK 26 - Jalen Smtih

PICK 30 - Tyler Bey

PICK 32 - Isaiah Joe

PICK 56 - LaMar Stevens

We would shock the world lol

Terry / Graham / Martin
Joe / Rozier / Martin
Bey / Miles / Batum
Stevens / PJ / McDaniels
Smith / Zeller

Sam Vecenie updated his big board.

1 - Ball
2 - Wiseman
3- Edwards
4- Toppin
5- Okongwu

Here's what he had to say about Ball and Wiseman

Spoiler:
— I still strongly believe Ball has the most upside as a shot creator in this class, which is why he sits at No. 1. Getting star creators is the single most important thing you can find. To me, Ball has the most upside. I get that some think Edwards, some think even Killian Hayes is in that mix. But Ball’s live-dribble game as a passer and his ability to gain separation is much stronger than anyone else in this class. The shot is a question, as is the defense. But I’d take the plunge and bet on Ball.

— I’ve moved Wiseman to No. 2. Obviously, his placement at No. 2 would seemingly go against a lot of what I stated above. So why is he so high? Again, it comes down to star power for me. While Wiseman isn’t necessarily the shot creator that some of the names above are, I do think he is a genuine potential defensive player of the year candidate at some point. His size and length at 7-foot-1 with something in the ballpark of a 7-foot-6 wingspan gives him ideal size, and his strength improvement has allowed him to make genuine strides absorbing contact. Additionally, having talked to sources (both players and trainers) who have seen him working out in Miami, there is genuine buzz that he looks phenomenal (and this isn’t coming from players or agents who are repped by Wiseman’s Excel agency, either).

Beyond that, I don’t think Wiseman really hinders you from a team-building perspective, either. Offensively, his game is a fit in the modern NBA if the jumper keeps coming along (something I have faith in). He can rim run with ease, with the ability to high-point the ball over even most NBA centers due to his leaping and length. And I think at some point he will be a pick-and-pop or trailer 3-pointer threat in transition. Throw in that he’s regarded to be a very intelligent kid who takes coaching extremely well, and I’ll buy into Wiseman figuring out how to be a high-level center on both ends of the floor.
