Yeah what’s up with that actually. Was there any explanation as to why our home floor wasn’t given some spiffy NBA Finals treatment?

I believe they said it's because the decals are slightly more slippery than the floor. The NBA has never had an injury because of it but I'm pretty sure it's happened to an NCAA player

The problem is those Finals floors were tradition! Someone needs to get creative and come up with a way to make them less slippery, spend some $ on a new chunk of floor to swap in or just take the slight risk. If they were really so concerned with player safety they'd get rid of the photographers sitting a few feet behind the basket

Sixers meeting with Doc, lmao. Good for us if they hire him as it means they'll continue to underachieve. Doc isn't an upgrade over Brown.

it can't be that hard to add some sort of clear grip layer over the decals

Nice headline
It’s official: The league’s talent and employees have made it to the NBA Finals without the disruption of a major outbreak.

Just hope it is a lesson-learned for the many doom-mongers around here that must have prayed for this thing to fail!

For the Heat, this series will come down to pure variance for any chance at winning it. I gave them about a 15% chance because they have the shooters to pull off that improbable scenario.

Robinson and Herro missing threes early while KCP and the other junk on the Lakers hit is a recipe for a big loss.

Can't see the Heat winning a single game, they struggle so much scoring against the Lakers half-court. On the Other hand Lakers getting anything they want open looks galore.

As a SSHer, I sold my tix for Games 1 and 2. I could economically justify only going to one game, and I chose Game 5 (if necessary - but I assumed it would be) because I wanted to see GSW with Durant. Man, by game time I could have sold my tickets for $5,000 for the pair, at least, a 400-500% profit. In retrospect, of course I would have. But it was a very interesting game to be in attendance for. Money comes and goes, but memories of KD going down and the crowd mentality after that will live forever.
