I see what you did there.

Can you help me out and explain what mediocre ball looks like? I know your Spurs right in the middle of it and trending downwards

Go Lakers.
Congratulations on making the playoffs, it's been a long 8 years.

Appreciate you quoting my post to bring this thread back to my attention

Not sure tbh never experienced it .. You should have gotten use to it over the last couple of years .. Maybe i should ask you?

We were straight trash.. it sucked. You'll be there soon enough. But I can explain the glow up and back to being a title contender. However, you mentioned years of mediocrity once LeBron leaves aka Spurs post Duncan. Ironic, no?

No considering the spurs made the playoffs the first 3 years after Duncan retired and have been making the playoffs since they’ve come to the NBA

The Pels had Jrue Holiday.

And Alvin Gentry, who can coach. Vogel and Kidd are set up to clash with LeCoach.

Wow so many bad takes in one post, great job man.

Haven’t seen “LeCoach,” “LeGM,” “will turn AD into a jumpshooter,” in a real long while.

We’re in the era where the long shot, attention grabbing take that you can reference later is what a lot of people do.

I personally don’t have a problem with it as long as those people come back and own their opinion right or wrong. But of course 97% of the people who say these things never bring the subject up again or completely ignore it when someone else brings it up. And if they make 20 of these takes and happen to get one right, they will be the first one to re-post it as a testament to their brilliance.

Few of those are real worries in the offseason but saying "Alvin Gentry who can coach" is just terrible from the start. He is one of the worst long tenured coach in the league history. His teams made the Playoffs like 3 times or something.

Feel free to bump in 9 months.

Lebron and AD who will miss 20 games each.

Kuzma, Danny Green.

Bunch of scrubs.

They also are now essentially capped next summer between those 4 guys, too and don't have any trade assets so this isn't getting any better next year unless they pivot.

This just shows how amazing Lebron and AD are. Took SCRUBS to the finals, IN A PANDEMIC. NO HOMECOURT ADVANTAGE.

Wait, I bet this same poster said Lebron was carried by Caruso and KCP after game one.

I like this Lakers team and won't be sad if they win, but this thread has impressive whiplash comedy potential if the Heat come back. :D

Man I remember all those posts about how Lebron killed bigs. They kept bringing up Kevin Love and Chris Bosh. I kept telling them those guys were 3rd options and AD will be 1b or 2, and he's way more talented than them. There were things to be concerned about for sure, no team is perfect. But many of the takes were obviously more like "wishful thinking" and removed from reality.
