Well, half of that team should be in a retirement community, so it's fairly "Miami-like"

Shady Pines or Del Boca Vista, baby?

This would definitely be fun for a year like 12/13 before the wheels completely fall off. But only after we sign Oladipo to a huge deal.

Jesus. What stupidity.

That's approaching Isiah Thomas and Steve Mills territory for stupidity. Assume the deal also includes a time machine so we can go put CP in and get the CP from 10-15 years ago.

Also if insurance refuses to cover the Oladipo contract but Dolan signs off anyway.

If Leon Rose trades FRP for CP or Victor Oladipo, he would become more of a Brodie Van Wagenen and less of Bob Myers.

The most Knicks fan thing to do is get worked up over no source Twitter posts. There is no proof only speculation because the Knicks don't blurt things out to the media anymore.

Knox already has that familiarity with SGA and Diallo so I would think that OKC would consider him. Would also be sort of a replacement for Gallo while the Thunder “accelerate the rebuild”.

No problem if OKC wants no part of DSJ. If anyone can resuscitate DSJ’s career it is CP3, whom the young guy considers as the best PG in the NBA even over Steph and Russ.

The Knicks trading assets for Chris Paul would probably do it for me, regarding Knick fandom.

I mean, there's a part that is forever on the brink anyway, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

And I've tried to maintain INITIAL enthusiasm for the recent regimes, like Phil, or even Mills, seeing possible scenarios where they could be positive. Obviously with Phil, it was his overall bball acumen and then historical status that might have kept Dolan at bay while he might have made good choices. With Mills, I wasn't happy at all, but figured, well, let's see if MAYBE now that Mills is at the top of the Bball pyramid, he might delegate more and function in a less knee jerk manner, which might -really slim chance, have worked out.

Obviously neither did, but the small silver lining of the Mills era is that the Knicks set the next regime up with things VERY rare for Knicks teams:
All their picks
Cap space
Some extra picks
Some decent youth to develop

It's nothing to write home about, but a DECENT (not great) base to START with.

I'm not even against trading a pick or two in the next 3 years, in the RIGHT kind of trade, as accommodating, what is it, 11 new players - counting 2nd rounders - in 3 years might be a bit much.

But for the right to take on 40 million in salary against the cap for 2 whole years, for an aging PG with an injury history, and for the benefit of that it's going to take several young assets and picks? Yeah, f*ck that.

I'd be out. And not because the players sent out are so awesome. It's about what mortgaging picks and cap space and getting that kind of player, in this timeline, represents. I personally won't spend more time engaging in it as a fan.

Well, no doubt the Knick jones would set in 3 days later. But I'd really consider putting down the Knickerbocker Pipe permanently around this deal.

My Dude, highly doubt anyone here could have put down so eloquently.

My Knicks pipe has been a constant companion since before Bob McAdoo was suppose to be that savior. He went on to the Lakers as a 6th man and won a chip with Jabbar, Magic, RIley and crew.

That's what Paul needs to do, go get that Chip, fk the Knicks.

Bro, I as you will hit rock bottom with this franchise if this once in a life-time position of; multitude of picks, huge cap space and nice foundation of young players gets trashed in one swoop for an aging broken star.

I'm giving Rose the benefit of the doubt until a trade is completed. Given that they've actually assembled a coaching staff specifically for player development, I'm optimistic that the plan at this point is to make smart moves while growing the youth. Taking on Paul while giving up assets is clearly not a smart move.
