That was the dagger there. JB shouldn’t have settled for that shot, and our transition D sucked.
It was a stupid shot, Bam and Butler were both out at the 3pt line, it was a perfect shot to have miss and lead to a fast break the other way. IT WAS A LAZY SHOT, Butler took a number of lazy shots tonight.
Butler cost Miami a title tonight. He's the "Max" player, the "leader" and he was deferring to K.Nunn in a finals game, way to lead.
Thats totelly was the momentum shift and the dagger. Lazy shot. Should have attacked the basket. The lane wa open. This is why we need a superstar. He is not enogh he is not consistent.
I actually thought he figured it out after Game 3, I was wrong. He had a 30 point half this last season, he's had a 40 point half earlier in his career and now in a game they needed to stay alive he was deferring to inferior players. He had 17 shots in a Finals game they needed which would be ok if he was deferring to players who were hitting but he wasn't.
That shot, missing that shot left Butler the furthest he could be on the court from being able to get back on defense. It would have been different if he had just hit 2 shots and was "hot", but he wasn't.
Still don't know why Nunn got so many minutes, put DJJ out there, you would have gotten better defense and maybe some more rebounds and possibly won the game.
