What does this even mean? He lead the Lakers to the lottery than had them guys traded for a top 5 player. Doesn't get easier than that.

Or he could've gone to an actually good team. A team who wasn't being clowned on in the media regarding their off the court fiasco's.

Instead he chose a lottery team and decided to build it into a winner. Even wasted 1 year of his prime. Nothing was guaranteed other than being a lottery team and that shows characters. He deserves credit for that.

Sacramento was very interested in Ingram for years. The pick was up for grabs. It could've gone down. Luka > AD.

theres this otherside of court called Defense and there were 4 other teams that passed on Luka, so you obviously playing the hindsight gm...Sac was never going to trade down, Bagely was there guy

They really liked Porter Jr. too and considered trading down. Didn't get a good enough offer though. Ingram + might have gotten it done. No team would rather have AD than Luka though, so I'm not sure why you're trying to die on that hill.

no lebron no ad in this hypothetical scenario, you just playing nba 2k using hindsight lol

I give credit to the Lakers for trading all those drafts busts for a top 5 player, but I'm not sure how Lebron didn't take the easy route. You sign in LA that's the easy route. They should win every year because every player wants to be there.

Fortunately for the Lakers they’re in Los Angeles so everyone wants to play for them.

The OP literally noted that nobody wanted to play with them for a while.
Nobody wanted to play with Kobe is more accurate. And Adobe didn't want to play with anybody.
