In fact he steamrolled her and got the last word on each topic and he got away with a lot by ignoring the rules of the debate. The moderator was terrible and did not hold him accountable for ignoring every question. So he got his talking points out there and didn’t get the evisceration he deserves. Trump soft served them when he buried a stimulus package yesterday and they didn’t bring that up either. I still want to say slight edge to Kamala because she has a lead and didn’t mess anything up too bad, but mostly because the fly and the metaphors that will come from it.
Also the questions were bad in general
I thought the moderator did pretty well. Pence went over his time limit several times but he didn't interrupt Kamala anywhere near as much as I was expecting. Susan also stopped the debate at one point to explain to Pence that his campaign agreed upon the rules before the debate which essentially shut him up for that period.
It was a much healthier debate compared to last week. Unfortunately we're going to be reverted back to the circus show starting next week. Pence didn't hurt his running mate with his performance but I think we can all agree that Trump is probably going to continue damaging his ticket when he returns for the 2nd debate. He's really coming off unhinged.
