I feel like even if Giannis has more stats and better record, LeBron easily has the narrative

LMAOOOOOOO @ Giannis

He's gonna have to win 70+ games at least to even entertain winning it after how his last 2 playoffs have gone. There is no **** way he's winning 3 straight Mvps

I'm putting my money on Luka as soon as the odds open. Think Jokic is a dark horse too but he coasts in the Rs

But Green and Kuzma...yikes. They just don’t cut it. Lakers gotta move them and look to add some actual quality shooters to the lineup.

I'm not crazy about him but Green is much better than Morris. At least he has shooting gravity, he plays good team defense, and he doesn't make many mistakes outside of missing shots.

I think McGee, Morris, Kuzma, and Bradley are the rotation guys who definitely need to be replaced.

I would keep Morris, Bradley and Green. Gritty and tough (two way) role players.

Kuzma and McGee are just too dumb. They are likable guys but if you can upgrade, you upgrade.

—-

Morris had a bad game against the Heat but his value will be felt against teams like the Clippers, Rockets and Warriors next season. He is a valuable piece that should be held onto if possible.

I would hold onto Green because I doubt the Lakers get value for him.

Bradley is an excellent on ball defender that could provide value moving forward (as a starter, or a spot stopper off the bench)
Don't believe the hype...

I think AD wins the next MVP especially if the Lakers are a top 2 seed again and Bron brings coasting back in the RS.

This it the RealGM LeBron thread version of the Thanks Obama meme being retired. How are we gonna argue against the man himself?

Then again, his LeGM skills aren't exactly the best. 2013 LeBron would swallow up 2020 LeBron on D and just overwhelm him with a superior motor don't @ me

what gm has more titles than lebron since 2011

Omg we just got Bigbirds origin story. So thats why you love Lebron so much!

Happy for Lebron and happy for you dude.

The thing that stands out to me is just how consistently good LeBron was in the playoffs and then how he reached another gear in the finals when his team probably needed him to. Maybe the break and shortened season played into this but regardless he probably just had a better playoff run and finals at 35 than MJ had in any of his second 3 peat years. So that's pretty amazing. It gives some pretty good credence to the idea that Lebron is the better player past the age of 30 which is amplified by him having two extra years that MJ basically sat out.

It'll be probably forgotten in time, but man what a performance from Rondo.

I'm the same age. My parents bought me Lebron's jersey during his rookie year and I got to see 18 year old Bron play when the Cavs came to D.C. Watching this man's career has been a privilege. I don't care how corny this sounds, Lebron has been an inspiration for me.

Nadal is my other favorite athlete. Pretty wild seeing him tie Federer and Bron get #4 on the same day. (Roland Garros & NBA Finals in October makes it even more surreal)

Heej wrote:Man IDC what anyone says if Bron doesn't win this I'm just conceding MJ as GOAT. Unless something wild happens like a crazy injury to one of the top 2. The horses are there he's gotta take this by the reins. I fully expect another great closeout game by him and more regression to the mean and ref help.

The Lakers should be steaming mad for the first time this post-season after defacing Kobes legacy like that losing in his jersey. If they don't get their game together and finally play their first S-class game as a team together and throw a mega haymaker I'll be crazy disappointed in LeGOAT.

BTW how did his last game look as far as Gamescore? Was it a 2016-esque 40 bomb?

Ah yes, my ban from trolling on GB is finally up.

This why he's my LeGOAT. A f***ing mega haymaker just as I expected of him. THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE

Did anyone else notice that no one else on the Heat other than UD shook hands? I'm gonna make a thread about it on GB right after this. Even Draymond and Curry shook hands, and that's why Klay is forever b****made to me no matter what. The Heat are a bunch of f***ing pussies.

They thought they were punking the Lakers the whole series and the one game that the Lakers came out angry they wilted under the pressure almost immediately. The Lakers were treating them lil bro the whole series and not taking them seriously and the one time they did the Heat couldn't handle the heat (yes MFin pun intended).

So much for 'hEaT cULtUrE' goin out sorry like that and not even having the common decency to dap up the champs. Karma won't forget this. They're never coming back to the mountaintop with this sleazy team because Giannis doesn't wanna go there regardless. Glad to see that cocky fanbase get kicked in the teeth after how cocky they were acting, including that random scrub tryna pull up on me in this thread. F*** that guy in particular lol.

I didn't shed any tears, but I was jumping up and down like a little kid. Hell, I was jumping so much it irritated the plantar fasciitis I got recently from hoopin excessively lmaoo. So worth it tho. I think this is the most pure excitedness I felt to win. Cleveland I sobbed uncontrollably cuz of the weight off my shoulders but this was just joyful man. So happy.

Also, I feel like AD low-key was mvp worthy too this series. He singlehandedly damn near played Herro off the court. That little s*** can't pull up from 3 to punish drop coverage just like Cranjis said and AD somehow perfectly played the lob and the shot every time. I've never seen a player before that can come up with all the improbable deflections that AD does. Passes that literally every other player in the league would allow to get through somehow AD just gets a hand on them. It's uncanny. It's not just his length, it's his instincts and agility too. Never seen something like that. I figure that's what watching Hakeem and Russell night in and night out must've been like. He's literally unique.

As far as duos go, I think LeBron and AD are by far my favorite out of every stop. Just watching them during the closing minutes and the ceremony was great. There's no inherent rivalry and awkwardness between them the way there always was with Wade (even in Cleveland, that's the main reason they shipped him out for nothing). ADs just a big awkward goofball and LeBron's just a big goofy cornball. They really are the Stepbrothers lmao. I might have to watch that movie tomorrow.

But man, can you believe it boys? We're really back here again on the mountaintop. All I can say is, let's not forget the lessons of 2016. Let's just enjoy and be present in this moment for as long as we possibly can and just savor it. Nothing's promised or guaranteed when it comes to this stuff, and life in general.

Also, shout-out to all the people that doubted our role players lol. Where was Duncan Robinson tonight when they turned up the intensity lol. This is why I don't buy that the Dragic injury made a difference. The Lakers were toying with the Heat this whole series. If anything they take the Heat a little more seriously and still end it in 6 like that guy who claims to be AD posted.

Bruh I got banned but they did me a solid and were like listen it's either a 12-hour ban and you can't login or a 7 day ban and you can only read. Luckily they gave me the first one so I was keeping up with you guys the entire night and now I can finally log in and post lmaooooo

Also, LeBron is cappin. 1v1 he was kinda getting locked up by Jimmy lol, Miami LeBron would erase him from existence. He'd need a lot of screens but I'm sure he'd out-think 27yo Bron and be more effective in the minutes they match up. So yeah I can buy that from a 5v5 setting.
