sir this is a covid world handshakes are actively discouraged.

never really understood people getting bent out of shape over competitors not shaking hands after a competition. if they do, great. if they don't, well it should at least not be scrutinized by the rest of us who didn't just compete for the highest prize in our profession and lost.
screw these absolute garbage refs

The thing is Lebron wouldn’t do that so it’s a silly argument

He did it vs. Boston in 2010 I think, but yeah he wouldn't do it now. I imagine the Heat players won't do it again either, wouldn't be surprised if Spo or UD said something about it.

Even someone like Draymond was able to dap up the Cavs after their championship, and he was widely considered to be a major scumbag that season. UD was the only real one on Miami that entire time. Clearly this is why the Heat went out sorry the one time the Lakers played angry this series. Just a complete lack of true leadership.

Karma is a b**** don't be surprised if Miami fails to make it back here with this squad. Especially with Giannis potentially going the Dame route. The Heat are who we thought they were. Trash and soft.

Says the former heat fan.

How was it trash when James walked off the court? Why would they show the same back? Foh.

Calling the Heat trash and soft is pretty much the opposite of what they are.

Lol "former Heat fan" as if you've never heard of a player fan before . Walking off the court during a series is how it always goes, at the end of the series you pay your dues. It's poor sportsmanship at the end of the day otherwise. And I'm not surprised given who the "leaders" are in that locker room.

I've always respected Spo and Udonis Haslem, they are matured and just pure class.

Who cares. In the 80's guys just walked off the court before the game over. Nowadays guys want to see players give each other flying kisses and 5hit before games and take selfies after the game is over.

Jordan shook the Pistons hands when they eliminated them, and people gave the Pistons crap for not shaking hands with the Bulls. Not everyone in the 80s was like that lol. People just be making up stuff to lionize an era they never watched

Correct, he would. In the figurative sense, absolutely, he would....After he looked his opponents in the eye and shook hands with them over a hard fought series first.

Because just as fierceful of a competitor Jordan was, he was graceful. One can say a lot of things about Mike, but one thing is for sure: Jordan was no sore loser. In defeat, MJ always paid his respects. And he would channel that energy into further fuel that further burned his fire. It's just that once he and the Chicago Bulls reached the mountain top...well, they didn't really lose all that much.

Now, he took names, for sure. No doubt about that.

But make no mistake, Jordan was always classy in defeat.

Nor was he boastful when he won. He let his game speak for itself. And all these years later, still does. Always has, always will.

Like a true GOAT.

Well you seem to still be clinging on to the Heat when 24 hours hasnt even been passed when Lakers won. Go enjoy LBJ's title and stop putting in so much effort into what did Heat did or didnt do.

if you dont think Jimmy backed up that talk, then i dont know what else to tell you. He did great this post season and a lot of people changed their opinion of him, great guy, never complains like the whole laker team. We are proud of our whole team despite all this garbage narrative you are spewing. Better to be authentic than hypocrite, we did not stay because we dont like Lebron as a person, there is not respect we should offer him at all, he was again carried to a championship just as we carried him in Miami, we were champions before the laughing stock of the NBA was getting spanked by Boston year after year, the way i see it we made him a Champion instead of the other way around. Do you think his charade and mocking every time he made a jumper with the game already out of hand sat well with our players, i am glad they just walked out, there is not respect as a person you should pay to this clown. Carry on

Can I get those fries with extra salt please?

LEBRON wouldn't walk off the court once the series finished.. the game though, that's a different story.

Ppl forgot, in order to be great you must respect greatness and I'm not sure if Jimmy is that.

Nothing is hurting right now to be honest, little man. Last night was amazing. You came in here sounding like a hurt ex girlfriend. It’s all good though, when LeBron retires, you might let it go. Still have a few years left, but I have faith that you can be whole again.

Lmao dude I don’t care about LeBron winning. He obviously earned and deserved it. I care about HOW these multimillionaire children conduct themselves. I care about how people conduct themselves in general. In this last series alone, the Lakers shown that they could neither win (the Lakers bench/Dwight Howard was RIDICULOUS)or lose(LeBron/AD walking off after ONE loss) with class. Doesn’t mean they won’t go down with that ring next to their name, and it doesn’t mean that I really care. Go be all you can be keyboard warrior! No skin off my back

We get it. You’re the poster child for class. Just like the Heat players who walked off all pissy after game 6. Booooo

were they pissed? did you talk to them? Like i said no reason to pay respect to such clown personality.

And shook hands after every finals series he lost. There’s a difference. This is much bigger

The fact that this is the first thread on this topic is kind of sad seeing that LeBrons walking off the court had the entirety of the media covering it for 2 days. LeBron has shook hands after every finals series he’s lost in his career. Don’t compare walking off with .7 seconds to what the whole heat team did

This times 100.

Are ppl really comparing the two? LOL comparing the body of work Lebron has put in to the likes of a Jimmy Butler?? Lebron walking off and not shaking hands after a series loss would be something.. too bad he's Lebron and he hasn't gotten to where he is by being a sore loser. It takes someone being salty as hell and not classy to walk off without at least acknowledging greatness.. especially to someone who has continously beaten you even while having more milage than you can ever dream of and carrying teams like a GOAT his entire career.

The audacity smh

so you are saying Jimmy has not put in the work? Probably the hardest working player in the NBA and this is what you come up with.

No, Jimmy is a "good" all star. The fact that he's had his ass sent home by Lebron multiple times and has gotten the best of him throughout his career( Jimmy admitting to it) id like to hope he'd suck up and man up and congratulate Lebron on winning another ring at age 35-36. Sure, not everyone is made like that but if you see my previous post... in order to be great you must respect greatness. Look at other guys like Kawhi, Curry, KD, Lebron they all show their utmost respect if they lose but I guess thats why Jimmy is where he is. Good player though.

you mentioned the work put in by Lebron, i bet Jimmy has put the work ten fold just to be the player he is. As per congratulate him or not that is really up to him, now my opinion there is nothing to respect coming from Lebron as a person, people should be respected for how they are as a person, i guess this is the way they see it as well.

Nothing forcing them to stick around. If they want to have a sore loser reputation so be it.
