No question him and Herro have been absolute marvels in this playoffs. And props to their coach for also getting them to play great team defense so no one is completely abused from lebron or Davis

Coach seems to be pretty happy abt the job he's done this summer ! What do you guys think ?

Sekou got fired by his agents this summer. Major red flag.
Casey has been praising Sekou for the last few weeks.

And Casey wasn't afraid to smack him through the media during the season so it's possible it's not a "positive" blow job during mini-camp.

Miami Heat need some firepower. Would they be interested in trading for Blake Griffin?

You can't be serious.

They're eyeing off Giannis in 2021 free agency! Would give them:

Bam
Giannis
Jimmy
Herro

I was not being serious. It'd be nice if someone wanted our nearly untradable"assets", though.

Yeah lets find a GM more desperate than SVG who also has a future in broadcasting.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Article states: "Physical in today’s game doesn’t mean what it meant in the Bad Boys era – their games would require four hours now between foul calls and replays for “hostile acts” – but it is no less required to win."

Some of us have said that already here and the article goes on, points to Miami as a "defensive" team

Casey quote: "Playing that style is the most important thing,” he said. “That style of toughness, physicality, taking charges. We worked on taking charges probably for the first time in my coaching career in a long time (at team camp). We did it early in my time in Toronto – getting used to contact, enjoying contact, the flesh-to-flesh contact you’ve got to have to win in today’s game. That’s Miami, that’s Boston.”

Here's hoping it's not all post mini-camp glow & pr cause this team needs to build a identity and rep for working hard.

Winning will come if we get talented, hard working guys. Not just talent.

How?

I say it's just as realistic to just have someone in the Piston's front office develop a cloning ray. Then our lineup would be:

Kawhi Leonard (with size knob on the ray gun turned up to 1.25x)
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard

And a bench of:
Leonard/Leonard (1.25x of course)
Leonard/Leonard
Leonard/Fennis Dembow (human victory cigar)
Leonard/Leonard (also splitting time at the 3 with Leonard )
Leonard/Leonard

Winslow doesn’t play for Boston or is a mini Jimmy Butler

The Leonard mix is possible, he trades svi and has him as a pistons backup.

The Pistons have moved on from Bruce Brown (who played some PG last season), and now from Jordan Bone as well:

So...they definitely need a point guard.

They definitely needed a point guard before this move. And before the Brown move. I don't see the harm in kpping Jordan "Mother Love" Bone around though - it's not like Pistons will be in a roster crunch.

Yeah, I was being a little facetious with my point guard comment. With or without Bruce or Bone, they needed to address the PG position.

Both the Brown and Bone moves come as a surprise. It's hard to see what Weaver has in mind, with only Rose as a PG on the roster. I guess we'll be seeing more surprises soon.

Bone didn't look good in the G-league championship game I saw and he looked really bad in the NBA when he was called up at the end of the season.

But after ditching Brown that was it. Rose also luckily was very healthy last year.

Who knows at this point! Maybe Weaver is a Hinkie-ite. If so, I'm cool with that! Let's dance to the #1 pick the next couple of years.

I’m thinking weaver is basically tearing this down to the frame and starting over.

This is my guess;
Griffin is safe because his contract would be a pain to move.

Sekou and Svi are safe as upside guys who wouldn’t bring too much back in a trade. Justin Patton Is a little less safe because of his contract, but I feel like he sticks around.

Khyri has a chance but he’s going to have to show something to stick around.

Not surprised that bone didn’t get a qualifying offer. Him and King should get camp offers, in my opinion.

With Wood they will probably look at his market.

Everything else is available.

Should be a fun offseason

Looks like Svi sticks around for the foreseeable future.
