The level of immaturity shown by this force of nature is truly disturbing. That’s wholly more disrespectful to the game than what the Heat did

Lol "former Heat fan" as if you've never heard of a player fan before . Walking off the court during a series is how it always goes, at the end of the series you pay your dues. It's poor sportsmanship at the end of the day otherwise. And I'm not surprised given who the "leaders" are in that locker room.

Well you seem to still be clinging on to the Heat when 24 hours hasnt even been passed when Lakers won. Go enjoy LBJ's title and stop putting in so much effort into what did Heat did or didnt do.

I am enjoying it. Just keeping the same energy for everyone else that they have for LBJ.

There was a lot of taunting & clowning from the Lakers bench in the 2nd half.

Either way, the Heat need to be better. I'm glad the Lakers were taunting, you know with significantly more talent than the Heat.

The whole Lakers team was jumping up and down around LeBron hugging each other, while AD was crying on the bench. What do you want them to do? Interrupt that? Wait for them to be done celebrating?

The Heat got there because they play hard and don't give a f about what others think. I have no problem with them just getting out of there. Especially with all the whining the Lakers did all series. It was tough to watch.

Meh, I’m ok with it.

Dudes throwing elbows, hitting people on their knees acting like goons. They might have just came to the conclusion they don’t have a respectful relationship with the Lakers.

Or maybe the bubble is so small, they get to do it in private behind the scenes and saw no need to disrupt the Lakers celebration before they exited the court.

You could argue the onus was on the victor to extend their hand in sportsmanship first. If all the victors are in a prolonged victory bounce party, i don’t see why the other team is expected to wait out their till it ends.

Even someone like Draymond was able to dap up the Cavs after their championship, and he was widely considered to be a major scumbag that season. UD was the only real one on Miami that entire time. Clearly this is why the Heat went out sorry the one time the Lakers played angry this series. Just a complete lack of true leadership.

Karma is a b**** don't be surprised if Miami fails to make it back here with this squad. Especially with Giannis potentially going the Dame route. The Heat are who we thought they were. Trash and soft.

The fact that this is the first thread on this topic is kind of sad seeing that LeBrons walking off the court had the entirety of the media covering it for 2 days. LeBron has shook hands after every finals series he’s lost in his career. Don’t compare walking off with .7 seconds to what the whole heat team did

This times 100.

Are ppl really comparing the two? LOL comparing the body of work Lebron has put in to the likes of a Jimmy Butler?? Lebron walking off and not shaking hands after a series loss would be something.. too bad he's Lebron and he hasn't gotten to where he is by being a sore loser. It takes someone being salty as hell and not classy to walk off without at least acknowledging greatness.. especially to someone who has continously beaten you even while having more milage than you can ever dream of and carrying teams like a GOAT his entire career.

The audacity smh

First, LeBron has definitely been aided by being a sore loser. Look no further than the Nuggets series when they complained to the league.

Second, the reason the media blew it up for two days was because the Lakers had to have somebody take off their warmups and suit up for 10 seconds because LeBron didn’t want anything to do with his underlings anymore that night. Teammates look to him (you know, the same guy who sent the “we have to win tonight!!11” texts before Game 4) for leadership in moments of doubt. Didn’t Rondo call him out too?

Obviously it doesn’t matter now. Series is over and LeBron can do no wrong in the eyes of both LeBron and Laker fans, which is a significant chunk of the posts here.

When my team loses I like to see them shake hands. Kobe always did it when he lost a series in the playoffs. But when my team wins I don't even notice if the losing teams shook their hands or not. I'd rather watch them celebrate tbh, but it's nice when the best players meet up to pay respects. Meh, I'll give Miami a pass.

The Lakers had a LOT of mouths on that bench that I'm sure didn't go unnoticed over the course of 6 games. Win with class, and I'm sure the losers would be a lot more incentivized to take the loss with class.

This. Normally I might be inclined to care, although not that much tbh, I'm a grown ass man, wouldn't give a damn if they shook my hand or not. I won, end of story.

Having said that, this team is pretty unlikable. From all the we're doing this for Kobe ****, oooh...we can't lose in the Mamba jerseys, we dont' want to let him down. Man, let that man rest in peace and stop using is name for a **** narrative. That man wouldn't give 2 **** about what jerseys the Lakers are wearing. THAT'S the **** that got me annoyed. I didn't even feel like watching the celebration or anything because I knew it would be all about Lebron/Kobe, hell even MJ, etc. Its tired and annoying. I get tired of all the extra, media driven bs. I'm just here for the competition.

Awe, we lost the respect of a front running bandwagon fan? How are we going to live with that?!?!?!?

How terribly awful!

I think I'll just go cry myself to sleep while I think about the incredibly bright future my team has, all because they lost your respect.

Your definition of class is quite different than the real thing, I assure you.

I have no problem with Lakers' fans or the Lakers. I do have a problem with bandwagon fans latching onto another team just because their hero plays there. Be a real fan. Pick a team. Stay with it. At the very least, don't antagonize a former team of yours. The Heat was in the Finals. They deserved to be there. They suffered injuries to two of their three best players and your hero still lost two games. Be humble. You don't deserve a championship. Your championship is hollow. Lakers' fans deserve it. REAL Lakers fans. You know, the ones who were there over the last decade when they weren't winning rings.

As for the handshake situation, I wish they'd have done it. It's tradition and it's respectful. At the same time, they were upset and they're old school. I get it. What I don't care about is you and those like you losing respect. Respect has to be earned, and I can assure you, you've never and will never have mine...

Lmaoo if this chip and the Cleveland one were hollow I really wonder what a full one is then  cuz those were some of the favorite moments I've had just witnessing watching my guy win it all . Lmao it's easy to put up with lottery teams, all you have is hope every year. It's a lot harder putting up with your guy almost making it to the mountaintop and not getting over the hump. That's why ever ring feels so sweet and the Bron fans still ain't done basking in it :D. Wish you could feel how great we felt these last 2 rings, but you prolly won't any time soon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
