We've had about 100 jimmy threads already but to answer the question - yes I absolutely miss him. The reason you tank is praying to hope to get a player close to as good as he is. We had him in his prime and GarPax decided he wasn't worth building around(a fireable offense on its own almost).

You see 2 other teams had to trade him, albeit they were very different situations, and are in a much worse spot because of it. I am happy he is with a team that appreciates him and is willing to build around him.

i should hope so given that he still had 2 years left on a very reasonable deal when we dealt him...and was 3 years younger than he is now

With the advent of Jimmy signing with Miami that tells me he probably would have left Chicago for Miami as-well.

If he was willing to leave Embiid and Simmons for MIA I don't see how he could have possibly stayed in Chicago with Denzel Valentine + Robin Lopez and or Bobby Portis as his running mates.

I don’t. For me that chapter was closed the season after he was was traded. I honestly don’t care to revisit it either. I’m glad he’s finally found a home and is thriving. I don’t see that as an indictment on the Bulls. The Bulls made the right decision of trading him when they did, but I feel like they traded him for the wrong pieces. Which is two different conversations.

I oddly don't miss him, although I really like him and was rooting for the heat.

I’m still pissed at the way they got rid of him, never made any sense to me to trade him and to rebuild. Probably the first time in history where a team decides to voluntarily rebuild.Most teams have their stars age or want to leave and are forced to rebuild, not the bulls.

Unfortunately a lot of real gm posters/bulls fans and most importantly Reinsdorf didn’t appreciate him and didn’t believe in him while he was here. This season he proved everyone wrong and Reinsdorf/Paxson now look like idiots for that move.

We will never know what Jimmy would achieve if he was still a bull but I know for sure it would of been a whole lot better than what we had to go through the past 3 years. I’ll give them credit for drafting Jimmy in the first place but again they made a terrible call at the end.

It's been embarrassing being a Bulls fan for the past few seasons, so yes, I most certainly miss him. If Butler was on our team, we'd probably have been in the bubble.
