Jr Smith only cost 289k against the cap for us . That’s kinda funny to me

I'd still say that was probably an overpay for what he did with this team.

Can bron opt out and sign for say, 15 mill a year and would they be able to throw a decent offer at gallo? I agree he would be a good fit with the team

What an ignorant statement..anybody that been following the nba since early 2000s knows warriors fans are among the best. Sure theres been some gentrification what with the team doing so well over the past few years, but not anything like LA.

Donnie's Dubs were exciting, but the team earned the largest bandwagon with Curry, Klay, and KD demolishing the league. That's just how kids roll these days. Lakers no longer have the largest bandwagon, that title's yours.

I have to admit the warriors have been a hot ticket and not necessarily real fans are able to consistently afford or even find seats just like any other succesful big market. LA had bron and AD plus been a top seeded team all year the bandwagon is plenty big for both teams and thats just how it goes with success. The thing with LA is that they are the biggest market and one of the most storied. I see a lot of passionate lakers fans out there and in this forum but they will always have the most or one of the most in terms of bandwagon fans.

So, I created Postseason Strength of Schedule Score (PSSS) for title teams since 1984.

For each championship team, I multiplied the margin of their top opponent by four, the margin of their second-best opponent by three, the margin of their third-best opponent by two and the margin of their worst opponent by one then added the totals. (There is room to quibble with the ratios. I chose this for simplicity.)

The higher the PSSS, the more difficult the schedule.

The 2020 Lakers would have the lowest PSSS (23.7), narrowly behind the 1987 Lakers (23.9) but way below everyone else.

Lol Lakers were playing in 2nd gear for like 75% of the postseason and trampled everyone. Even if they played the "best" teams they would've murked them. Clippers woulda gotten trashed in like 5

Love how dude posts that trying to get a bite and immediately gets the most known Clipper superfan and one of the top Heat posters immediately spitting in his eye. Listen to these folks, guy. They post from a position of knowing. Their teams either faced the Lakes or were in the same city battle all season. Fwiw, I thought the Clips were gonna be a tough series, but after the way Denver overcame them, I was less confident than ever that my takes on the Clippers were right. They were a better team than they showed in those last 3 games, but they collapsed at the very worst of times for 3 in a row and there's nothing to say that wouldn't have happened against the Lakers, too. Then LAL easily shoved the Nuggs aside, more or less.

What did I have to say, mate, 70 years?

What I wanted to emphasize is that it's great to win a title after goint through dark times, and I know other teams have gone and are going through longer tough periods. But stop the big market bs. Look at the Knicks, and look at us in the summer of 2016. It took some good management and going at 12 am to LeBron's house to get to this again. It took finding players like Caruso and Kuzma that are good role players. It took great late drafting. It took giving Dwight a second chance when nobody even wanted to give him a try. It took trading your young core and risk the future for another 10 years by trading for AD on an expiring hoping things would work out this time around after 2013. That's how you build something to win. And it took Jeanie Buss to clear out the mess her brother piled to create this small dynasty.

Cheers, mate.

Lebron was going to LA stop that showing up at 12 am mess like other teams don’t do that. Davis was clearly tampered with by lebrons agent how could a team trade away there future knowing he’s leaving anyways. Plenty teams beat out the offer for Davis but simply couldn’t cause the knew what was going on. Only reason you guys didn’t get kawhi was Toronto saying **** it

Bruh, so many tears. Did you read my whole post or pick what's good for you? The way this team was managed since 2017 after the mess left by Jim Bus was the main reason for getting back to winning.

And then, LeBron choosing to go to LA was by far more fair to the NBA than KD going to the Warriors.

Were you also crying then when GS were dominating?

You moved from your position of "paper Lakers" meaning they were a paper tiger to we'll never know. A little more work might have you at, "Yeah, my bad, I was wrong".

You had people thinking the Lakers would miss the playoffs, AD would leave, and that LeBron was done. You had people prediciting 4, 5, 6, 7 seed and now it’s “bought title.”

GTFOH

Harmon saw "LEGEND" flash briefly before his eyes and then he reverted to "FOX SPORTS" at the last moment. Pressure got to him. Picking the Nuggs showed he didn't watch a single RS head to head. That shows that his Conf Finals picks were unfortunately lucky mistakes. Sad.

LeBron will never do that. But they can already offer him about $10 million per year with the Non-taxpayer MLE
