https://www.indycornrows.com/2020/10/6/21501224/how-chris-finch-could-invert-the-pacers-offense-with-continuous-spacing
Think of it this way: In the playoffs, playing five-out after forcing a switch with fixed spacing wasn’t enough to dissuade the Heat from loading up on penetration and communicating their unbelief that the Pacers could win on the back of their center shooting (or record-scratching out of) jump-shots.

Granted, Indiana ran a similar version of the aforementioned twirl play last season under Nate McMillan, but the difference is the role reversal. With Sabonis as the passer and the guards as screeners, Adebayo would have been actively occupied defending the ball 20 feet away from the rim instead of pinching in at the elbows and blocks.

Plus, if Miami had switched on off-ball screens against the Pacers like the Celtics did the year prior, there’s a counter. Here, rather than setting a screen, notice how Jamal Murray subtly fakes a down-screen at the same time as Darrell Arthur slides up the three-point line.

That does two things. For one, it shows how offensive spacing should constantly be alive and adjusting. After all, without a screen, there’s nothing to switch, but by lifting to the wing and creating an empty corner, there also isn’t a readily available help defender.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Knicks are targeting Ball and Wiseman and they're looking to trade down if one doesn't fall. The article specifically mentions Wiseman's draft stock as "volatile". The only explanation for Ball is that by saying they hope Ball will fall, they're posturing like they won't trade up for him. Instead they will stay put, wait for Wiseman or trade down. After teams above them select there could be "equality" in the picks that follow. Way to devalue pick 8 if you want to move up. Saying it's similarly valued as pick 12 or 16 or 18 or 20 doesn't really compel teams picking high.

This is why if the Knicks want Ball, pick 8 as the first piece really doesn't get you anywhere. Knicks will have to give up their 2021 first to move up imo. The Wolves should demand it. I can't see any team wanting to move up to pick 8 unless Wiseman is there.

Saw this earlier and same. Not the best team to inherit but would be stoked if he gets a head coaching gig.

This would be nice for him, but looks like a sure sign of a rebuild coming in Houston.

Big time, good luck. Do they even have a GM right now?

Well-deserved gig for Stephen. I'm going to closely follow the Rockets next season.

Yes, congrats to Silas, but...I have to say I don't really understand the NBA. Why would New Orleans hire Stan Van Gundy to leash and harangue their young stallions? Why would Houston hire youth developer Stephen Silas to coach James Harden and Russell Westbrook? Silas to NOP, SVG to Hou - I would get it. These two hires I don't...

Apparently they liked Silas offensive schemes.

I'm interested to see who would be part of Silas' coaching staff. Steve Nash is assembling a heck of a coaching staff in Brooklyn.

Crazy trades so far.

Two firsts for Roco? That’s nuts especially when one was 16th pick.

Three firsts for Jrue? Yikes

Both seem like massive overpays

Bucks doing what they have to do. Kind of sucks for them Jrue is on expiring(player option). If Giannis bolts, they will be playing in empty arenas for years with no way to compete or improve. Maybe they are betting on Giannis having a heart.

If he stays, then those 1sts don't mean much since they can sign ring chasers for minimum.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

Hate seeing teams get screwed like that because the star player makes demands.

That is still one HORRIBLE trade. Jrue is 30 years old and is by no means a superstar (or really even a star?). They lost 3 1st rounders, their starting point guard, and a solid role player in George Hill. That's a treasure trove of resources for a 30 year old who is only a slight upgrade at a position who also manages to be more expensive. I actually started trying to research the trade to try to figure out the motives behind the move.

Bucks just got Bogdan too. If their starters play 100% all year, they could actually go 72-0. That team can attack you in so many ways.
