Im not going to say anything anymore until we win a game .....

This loss last Sunday didn't feel good. Something about this series gives me more menace than the other series losses.

Holding my tongue till we get tonite.

Yeah I get it, Lakers team seems to be overly confident, playing passive in the last 2 games, trying to mail it in and win without getting hands dirty.

Good start.

How many championships needed in a dynasty? I'm guessing 2 more from AD+LeBron over next 5-6 years.

If AD re-signs then a dynasty is possible. Signing Giannis will lock it up.

2 more over next 5 or 6 years is not what I call a dynasty but a 'pock-marked, championship grab when the current superpower needs re-tooling' (a la San Antonio spurs ).

We need to do 3peat or a couple of back-to-back w an interim year in between.

So GSW wasn't a dynasty?

I see a dynasty as a 5-6 year thing where the team is competing every year and land 3+ championships.

Some people even say LeBron Heat teams were a dynasty.

I don't really see them as a dynasty through my homer eyes.

LeBron and AD locked in for 3 more years.

Schroeder, Caruso, THT, KCP, Kuzma, Harrell are all the right timeline for AD for another 8 seasons.

Theoretically how good can this team be?

Fringe playoff team I'd say. They would still need to add another high all-star player to even consider contending. Unless we think THT is going to be Kawhi 2.0, but that's a reach

Agreed. They'll need to add more after Lebron hangs them up.

They would need to add more but if they give these guys contracts then it could only be through trade unless the Lakers plan to clean house and start fresh. Based on Pelinkas comments though it seemed like the plan was to collect longterm pieces that fit ADs timeline.

THT and Schroeder could be All-Stars. Don't think any of the others have a chance based on their game.

THT is the key... If he continues his current trajectory and becomes a star, and if AD gets even better than he is today, and if Schroder and Trez continue to buy in, I'd call that a potential WCF team... If THT is even better than that and becomes an All Star, that might be a contender... It has all the Defense you could want, it just doesn't have the guy who can get 30 any time he needs to to win yet... That pretty much would have to be THT, in that scenario since we pretty much know what we're getting from the rest of them.

All that said, I would be 'satisfied' if that's what we rolled with post lebron... And I doubt AD would be either.

Assuming health, this team could potentially multi-peat. In theory. It’s possible.

Right now, I’m more excited about watching THT’s help defense rotations in pre-season game three.
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.

Looking at the NBA landscape this year, I see no reason we can't repeat. Gotta have health. Who knows what next year brings?

THT becomes the player we always wanted Kuz to be?
Harden joins the Nets? (Yawn)
Giannis joins the Heat?
Kawhi leaves that other LA team after not making the playoffs...joins Portland for the league min?

Who knows??? Let's focus on health, and getting a back-to-back. Take care of the little things, and the big things take care of themselves.

I think that team has great defensive guards to pair with AD. I agree that if THT becomes an all-star level player then the teams could be a contender. Even if LeBron plays long term and declines he could still make a difference in the playoffs with his IQ.
