After last season and the videos we saw prior... THERE'S NO REASON FOR ANYONE TO THINK IT WILL BE DIFFERENT this time around. Not confident at all

I don't think I've seen Smith hit so many shots in a row before. I rooting for him to turn it around even if just to make the KP trade look a lot better.

would be great if he turned it around; had really high hopes for him

still see a hitch in the release tho

Note to self, don't read the video description. He needs Bobby Portis knocking him around in this drill.

In the Smith video, ok...maybe he is just trying to get some confidence on those slow set shots. I guess I was expecting some drills a lil closer to game speed.

Jimmy Butler need to visit their practice, idk.

Here’s some game speed shots. I don’t know if it will translate to actual nba games but it does look better.

The mid-range pull-ups in that clip look cleaner than I remember. There's no extra motion, just a straight up and shoot release. Needs to bring that to game time, but he should be able to if his mental outlook is better. His talent is not the issue, its his mindset.

I’m not saying it means anything. Just like how we see Frank’s work out videos every year and he still can’t shoot at all. Same thing for Mitch. But it’s worth noting that DSJ didn’t have a hitch in his shot in college. He developed it out of nowhere. If his hitch is gone, then he should be better. I don’t see a hitch here. But again, the video is meaningless. This needs to happen in actual NBA games. I only posted it cause the dude was saying he wants to see DSJ shooting in game speed... so here it is.

I feel like we have a bunch of young talent that would have been soo much further along if we had solid coaching.. I’m hoping we actually let Tibs work with what we have before we start praying for washed stars to help us..

Frank, RJ, Mitch, DSJ should all look better this year, at this point the only guy I think will have a hard time is Knox..

I appreciate you sending the video, but saw it already and almost think it is just as bad. Just not really trying to see Smith dominate vs no name players. There was a lot of talk from him going into last season, so it is my fault that I bought the hype.

I won't get on him now, cause I don't expect much from him after last season. Develop him just enough so we can ship him out.

If DSJ is going to be better... fairly sure Knox will as well.

Lol I know the dude he's mostly going up against there. Chris Wilson. He went to St. Joe's and graduated in 2015. Was the starting PG on a tournament team. Always was a pretty solid defender because he was pretty big for a PG at the D1 level. About 6'3" or 6'4" pretty built. Had some european hoops experience as well. Not anything special but a solid hooper nonetheless. He had a major back injury a few years back and essentially had to retire from hoops, but I guess he's making a semi comeback after he had been a personal trainer for a while?

If y'alll want to get a feel for the level of player he's playing and shooting against here.

Hoping for a bounce back from DSJ.

Knicksfan1992 just posted who he's going up against. Doesn't sound like he's a complete nobody.

And if we can get DSJ developed into his ceiling.. I would love to keep him. That's a star player imo.

We probably had the worst coaching team last off season, All Tom point guard have put up good numbers under his system. Smith will put up numbers next year and people will eat crow
