Figured I would start one seeing as it's getting to that time of the year with rumours and the draft/FA around the corner.

Per wiretap
Grant and the Denver Nuggets have significant mutual interest on a new deal.

The Detroit Pistons, Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks are also expected to show interest in Grant.

Grant is capable of playing both forward positions and has improved as a three-point shooter.

I know that Kuzma is from Flint, but how depressed would that guy be if he got traded coming off a championship with LA to the Pistons?

Why be depressed? He got his championship now he gets to be 'the man' on his own team seems like a dream come true.

Can't see us trading for Kuzma.

The last time Lebron played with DRose it didn't work.

Maybe they believe this time would be different, maybe not?

I don't see the rose for Kuzma trade happening either.
If rondo stays in La and Bradley stays, there's not much room for rose and I don't think his style fits.
I'm also not high on Kuzma. Seems immature and full of himself.

Kuzma sucks. He’s, at best, an above average bench scorer. Sub him in at the 5 min mark, run him a couple of plays, see if he’s hitting. If so, he can get 30 min and 20 points and be good on one end. If not, 10 min, limit his negative impact. He’s a taller Jordan Clarkson, and that’s not a compliment at all. Really does not contribute anything but some buckets.

The problem with Wood being a mid-level exception contract player is that some other team can offer him that. They probably are not the dumpster fire the Pistons are, at the moment.

Maybe he is told that he can shoot all he wants here and that helps keep him?

An interesting facet of this is that Christian's agent has nothing in his clientele except for late picks/undrafted guys all on their first contract much like Christian himself. So this will be the first big deal that his agent has ever negotiated. It could work really well in our favor or even against Christian's. While I'm certain that Christian's agent will have ample opportunity to consult with more experienced sports representatives, I just think it's an underscored layer of how Christian's contract negotiations go down.

Real question is, will anyone go above MLE for Wood besides us? I don't think so... so how much above MLE do we have to offer for him to want to stay with us. I'd say 4 years $48 to $50 million should get the job done and it might end up being a great value contract for us.

Because he has never had an NBA contract worth more than the minimum, I think it's almost certain that he takes the most Money offered (Detroit) and likely a spot where he can get a good # of shots and 35+ MPG.

Hopefully he's been continuing to work hard on his game with all this down time... I know some FAs are worried about working out too much because they don't want to get injured going into FA.

I know theres a big cliche about true Detroit made players (Lambieer, Sheed, Zeke etc) and Kuzma could not be further from that mould lmaoo

Wouldn't surprise me if the Knicks came calling offering more than that.

Think Atlanta is the other team with major cap space If that's correct I can't see them chasing Wood considering the overlap of skills with Collins

Not if he gets paid. At this point he needs to look for payday then have fun elsewhere

This time they have AD and a championship already. They have their algorith. They just need a scoring punch throughout the season. I’m sure rondo will stay there as well

I actually see us getting Kuzma. I can see a trade like Kuz and AC for Rose and Snell. KCP and Bradley have player options and will probably opt out for longer deals. I can see KCP coming back and Rose can take AC's role.
