Carmelo Anthony could join the New York Knicks should Chris Paul get traded to the team, sources told Marc Berman of the New York Post.
Paul has been a frequently rumored target for the Knicks, with the Thunder preferring a potential deal to include Kevin Knox.
Both Anthony and Paul were represented by current Knicks president Leon Rose.
Sources added that Rose would be open to signing Anthony even without Paul.

He played pretty well starting for the Blazers being the 3rd option. Even played defense. I see him getting an offer from the Blazers easily. I personally wouldn't go to NY until they straighten out their ownership. If the Lakers, however, call then I'd think about playing with his best friend. He had the best offensive and defensive rating of his entire career. PER can be misleading or overused at times, especially for players who are 2nd and 3rd options on a team. He's a replacement level player, or worse. Any more than a minimum contract is an overpay.

Anthony isn't the Melo of old, but he showed he still has value in this league, especially for the price. There are a lot of players with single digit PERs who are making way more.
