Shaq Blasts Dwight Howard as 'Bandwagon Jumper' Who Shouldn't Brag About Winning Championship

When the Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA championship, Dwight Howard went viral after he gave an emotional speech on Instagram Live.
"Everybody out there, don't ever give up on your dreams," he said. "You can ****' do it, I swear! Just keep fighting." On a new episode of his podcast, Shaquille O'Neal has suggested that Howard, who has stuck with teams for just one season at least four times, is a "bandwagon jumper" who shouldn't be celebrating his team's win like this.

"You know what I don’t like as a player? It's a lot of players on their little instagram bragging like they were the reasons they got the championship," he said at the 12:30 point of the most recent episode of the Big Podcast With Shaq. "I ain't gonna say no names," he continued, "Sit your ass down you ain't do nothing." He proceeded to call anyone doing this a "bandwagon jumper," and concluded, "Post one pic and sit your ass down."
While the quotes taken out of context appear to be vague enough to refer to multiple players, one of Shaq's co-hosts proceeded to mimic Dwight Howard's recent Instagram Live session.
"I don't know who you're talking about," Shaq said when his co-host joked about Howard's comments. He then called Dwight a "role player" who "played well," but also added that he "didn't do nothing." When it was suggested that Dwight could be a future Hall of Famer, Shaq appeared to hush the conversation in an attempt to move on.

Lots of smoke and hot air swirling around out there. Boston's three 1st round picks being offered to move up. No takers, so far.
Hearing that Atlanta is right in the middle of some deals. Waiting to see if they can get everyone to agree with the details.

The Pelicans are "openly discussing star Jrue Holiday in trade talks and several contending teams are pursuing," Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

This isn't the first time Holiday's name has been on the rumor mill but it is the first time that we've heard of them actively trying to move him. New head coach Stan Van Gundy was talking up Lonzo Ball at his opening press conference and likely wants to hand him the keys to the offense. Holiday has two years left on his contract and is owed $25M this season with a $26M player option for 2021-22. Shams doesn't mention any of the contending teams in the mix for Holiday, but Denver has pursued him in the past. Other speculative destinations would include the 76ers and Bucks, so this will be very interesting to monitor.

This is definitely NOT happening!

Expect Patrick Williams to be drafted before Florida State teammate Devin Vassell and end up somewhere inside the top 10. Although Williams wasn’t consistently productive last season, his youth and long-term potential have been advantageous as teams weigh upside plays early in the draft, and his raw skill set is generally seen as a positive. If he indeed sneaks up several spots on draft night (we last projected him to San Antonio at No. 11), it’ll create a domino effect with the players left on the board. – via SI.com
