Chasin' that #1 pick paper.
Actions>>>>>>words
I think that was a quote from a month back or so. He wants to be #1 pick. Don't blame him.

6'6 for Winston is intriguing?
What about...
Quickley: 6'8.25" wingspan
Maledon: 6'8.75" wingspan, 6'4 in socks it says. He was as high as .406 from 3pt and as low as .294, averaged 3.5 from three.
Are these real wingspans?

Givony is a busy man these days. He's all over this Ball thing. Wonder how the workout went. Maybe Givony can get this hype train really moving for a good trade value.

Ball needs to be the pick at #1...especially in the pandemic. He’s proven to be an expert when it comes to social distancing on defense.

With as much info as Givony has gotten recently and how hard he’s pushing Ball, he’s either getting info from the Ball or Twolves camp.

Ball will be the pick but it wont be at number one and I bet Rosas will still try to trade him from 3.

I’m not sure Ball will be there at 3. My thoughts are if Ball falls to 2, GS will find a trade partner. The question becomes is Rosas fine with whoever drops to 3.

Re: 2020 NBA Draft Prospects: Thread II
Why must they choose him to hype for the trade? This just makes my stomach churn. There are teams at 4.5.6.7.8.9 all just loving the idea of the prospects that are going to drop to them. These are the players Wolves should be working out and scaring teams about interest in. Let Givony and others keep the hype on the big 3 going. OHwellz

Re: 2020 NBA Draft Prospects: Thread II
D'Angelo Russell does everything Ball does and plays the same position. Sure Ball is 6"7/6"8 but he will be pushed around for a couple of seasons until he hits 200-210lbs. He's only 180lbs right now.
Can Minnesota afford two more seasons of below average play?
Karl Towns is young at 24, but in two seasons he'll be 26. At that point of his career how good will LaMelo be?
Scouts say LaMelo's passing ability is elite and has A+ potential while he's the worst defender...but then put him in his own tier. So I'm confused about him as a prospect because he has so many flaws I wonder how far he can advanced his defensive prowess to be an impact player by the time Towns reaches his prime and wants to win championships instead of waiting for guys like Culver, Okogie and others develop through his greatness. I totally understand, Minnesota isn't a free agent destination like LA or MIA, but I sure do hope Minnesota makes the best choice possible to make them contenders. They deserve it and I say this as a Knicks fan, I want to see Minnesota in the playoffs contending because I believe Russell and Towns are championship caliber players within maturity, time and development. I don't think Towns is soft and I believe if Minnesota builds the right pieces around these two they can compete.
A part of me wants to trade the pick, but it just seems like bad karma. Trading down seems risky, but the problem is this draft #1 pick is uncertain. It hurts more to be #1 in a draft where the talent gap between #1 and #2 isn't contrasting like other drafts. However, the Zion draft did have Ja Morant, but I'm referencing other drafts where the #1 was without question the best talent by far.
I would draft Edwards because he seems could be a Jimmy Butler/Dwayne Wade slashing SG/SF who can do everything if he reaches his "ponteital", which a part of me has doubts too because his gameplay at Georgia wouldn't warrant faith to be the #1 overall pick. Crazy potential draft. We'll see what happens.
Best of luck to Minnesota. Knicks would of drafted Toppin #1 overall and add to their collection of 9 powerforwards. I hope yall do better.

6'8.25" wingspan adds intrigue to good defender, 42% from 3, and 92% FT for Quickley. Really like this kid at 33.

Terry with his 6’1.5 wingspan will probably be there at 17...
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
