Donovan already tried that. Don't think he wants another go round.

I didn't like the fit with those 2 initially but realistically, what team is Westbrook going to go to that is a better situation than the Rockets? From a contention standpoint, only the Clippers would be a better fit, assuming they're the top contender for his services.

If he's demanding a trade, he must know he's not going to a contender (unless he agrees to a buy out, and lol, he won't), which makes me think he still thinks he can be the man. I think his career downfall is gonna be pretty ugly.

How bad does this make James Harden look? I think Harden will spend the rest of his basketball career in NBA purgatory, not unlike Carmelo with the Knicks.

What? How does this make Harden look bad? Not his fault his owner over ruled Morey one of the savviest GM's in the league to trade CP3 who was a better fit next to Harden for Westbrick who can't play in a modern offense unless every other guy on the floor can shoot from 3 because hes a bad shooting guard in the modern NBA, then to further accommodate Westbrook they traded Harden's pick-n-roll/lob threat(the bread and butter of his game) Capela for a 3+D stretch 4 in Covington. It was very clear after Morey made his HK comments he wasn't a long term part of HOU and I believe they froze him out of most of last season.
If anything this entire situation is showing how bad of an owner Fertitta is looking like he will be, Harden may luck out and get to pick his landing spot in a potential trade. I think figuring out a way to get Harden on the Sixers and Ben Simmons on the Rockets could be the best case scenario for both teams. Harden/Embiid are a dream pairing on Offense an Simmons is young enough for the Rockets to build around, its not a question if their blowing it up but when.

Knicks are my 2nd fav team, How about the Pacers?
O’Connor’s latest mock draft at The Ringer includes plenty of interesting tidbits, including a couple we’ve already passed along. Here are a few more highlights:
Multiple teams, including the Mavericks, have contacted the Bulls this offseason to inquire on Zach LaVine‘s availability, says O’Connor. It’s not clear if Chicago would have any interest in moving its leading scorer.

You could also swap Batum for Zeller (and maybe Monk), but I could see the Hornets viewing that as overpaying given Westbrook's contract.
I don't think adding Westbrook would work if they draft Edwards. But if they draft Wiseman or Okongwu, then Russ might fit with that player and the mix of Graham, Bridges, PJ Washington, etc.
The other plausible destination would be Orlando for some combo of players.
Beyond those two teams, I can't see anyone taking up that cap space with Russ while having room for him in the roll that he wants. I mean, there's always the Knicks... but Leon Rose isn't considered a dumb man.

Houston's got to get more than Rozier to keep Harden happy.

Maybe, but they aren’t likely to get more back for an over 30 year old guy due over 120M over the next 3 seasons.

The Mavs don't really have anything to offer. Tim Hardaway JR and a late 1st doesn't move the needle.
